I've gone through the list of games and added to the basket ones that aren't pre-orders got my total pennies over £75. I've had £20 promotional credit added recently so it's costing me £45 for F1 2017, Lego City undercover, Dishonored 2. Now the trick is look at the page of the game before ordering there's a banner that appears on those included in the offer, if the banner doesn't appear it's not included. You may have luck on the support page but it's unlikely.
There is a list that's only a few pages long, it doesn't appear all games are actually included.
I'll try to find the link but it might be the same that's already shared here.

I have noticed that none of the codes work on Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and when I talked to Amazon, they insisted on saying Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is not eligible for this promotion... This is quite strange since all the other video games sold by Amazon themselves are eligible. Hope more people can report this issue to Amazon to let them admit their mistake :stuck_out_tongue:

I don't have prime so I bought the two steelbooks for 76 and used the ten pound off code, so it's 66 for both steelbooks, which is fairly decent. Paid 80 for the steelbooks of ORAS. And yeah standard delivery, I'd be happy with it getting here on release. Even if I get first class with game etc it's usually here at 4 because delivery is bad here, so release date is fine for me.

Firstly you can't use more than one redemption of the code even if it goes through many have confirmed they had orders cancelled for redeeming more than one code from the offer.
Did you choose standard delivery? I've only had pre orders turn up on release date no earlier and once because of a bad driver a day late, but credit to Amazon they did give me £10 on my account for the trouble. Only then after I kicked up a fuss about the terrible delivery situation in which the driver claimed they attempted delivery after 8pm at night on the date of release and they didn't keep to the contracted delivery date promised.
I personally wont be using Amazon for games if it's something I want quickly on release I will be using other stores that may deliver early or at least usually on time and I know Royal Mail wont deliver past 2pm in most cases as early as before 8am on or before date of release. I can't condone Prime without having some sort of delivery slot. It's fine if having the day of release to enjoy the game or don't care if it could be till 9pm for delivery but for me I'm not doing that again.
I would only get my Xbox One X from Amazon if I could have used the £20 reduction becuase I already have £10 promotion applied from credit I had applied, along with the £20 gift card. But I'm really thinking if I can't use the £20 promotional credit I already have stacked with the £20 discount code and the £20 gift card, I will be going to a store I have pre-ordered with already that uses DPD. This is so I at least know what time of day to expect it and won't have a chance of a driver dropping the package out the van onto the road or claiming they attempted delivery and never came. It doesn't happen like that often but it does make you question are the savings worth the possibility.
(Amazon if your reading this, £20 coupon+£20 promotional+£20 gift card would mean I would only have £389.99 outstanding).

as i said in my previous post they can and will credit it for your orders but you have to persist don't just accept what CS say .
if they refuse say you'd like it passed over to a supervisor and say you know for a fact that the discount is being used for pre orders and amazon have to be consistent whether the fact i'm with amazon prime was a reason for the discount i'm not sure.
i did get it after numerous emails if your willing to spend the time writing these for 20 pounds then do it if not then just give up and move on.

after multiple emails to CS it was transfered to a supervisor who replied that a 20 reduction would be taken off the xbox one scorpio order once its delivered i have this via email so very little chance of them going back on it. My advice would be to email not phone or live chat and persist say that you know that its been applied to pre orders and amazon have got to be consistent in dealing with all customers it can't just depend on which member of CS you deal with whether its applied or not. You will get multiple replies saying its not possible but i just said it could and i had proof. other than people saying it had on here i didn't though lol the. supervisor replied and applied the discount.

Completely depends who you manage to get to speak to @ Amazon I guess. Some people had to cancel pre-orders and re-order with code, some will get money back after payment, and some had £20 applied directly to it.
I tried once, and it worked. I was in no way expecting it to... was expecting to get the above (not valid on this offer etc).

I also got the run around on live chat, but managed to get it applied using the email option. Although it isn't showing in my Xbox One X preorder, i have an email i have to reply to once it's dispatched and they will refund me £20 to my payment card.
CLEARLY the £20 should not be able to be applied to orders placed before the deal go live date re the t&c's of the deal, which would be fine BUT only IF everyone was being told the same thing and declined the discount! Amazon being Amazon will always buckle in the end if you complain enough to them, it's why they are NUMBER ONE in online retailing and people come back to them in their droves and also why their risk free shopping, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT even when their in this case WRONG!

Thanks this worked for me, They applied £20 to two separate items (£10 Each) from the £150.98 that My Orders came up to, They have to check with Manager but they said that's fine at first he was gunna transfer me to the DLC Codes department I was like nooooo wait read what I'm writing Lol, He was nice and sorted It for me.
Technically Amazon now can't see that I've applied those Codes the way they've been done allowing me to apply an extra code to another qualifying product. Already got Mario Odyssey on Pre Order as well but as people have reported in the thread they can't add the code In via the Order only a Gift Card Balance.... So I'll get in touch with them tomorrow about that one :smile:

I said I tried to add the £20 off £150 to my preorder, they asked where I found the deal, said I found it around Amazon, they asked for name and link to offer - I said I didn't have either - but sent the T&Cs of the promo over. I got 'let me check 2 minutes'... 'I have applied promo credit of £20 to your Xbox one X order'.
The T&Cs are clear - but the code is able to be applied to other consoles - I added a DS XL and another console to my basket over £150, added the code and it took £20 off, I did this in prep for the questions that may have been asked like 'this is not for consoles etc'.. but wasn't asked.

Try using email instead of chat/phone, there seems to be better luck that way as the person will try and resolve your query by doing something else that gives you £20 off rather than chat to you and explain why the code doesn't work

The terms and conditions are clear, which is why that yesturday and today the response I got was the same that only orders made between a certain date are applicable and an extra response was recieved with the information that only products in the list are applicable for the offer which the Xbox One X is not.
Unless they've changed the terms today I really can't see why anyone has had the £20 discount applied.
If anyone cares to share with me the transcript directly in private message perhaps I will try for a third time.
Also the offer is one time use, doesn't say code but offer people who tried to abuse the use probably are in the wrong and ok it is strong of amazon to outright cancel the order and instead should remove the discount on the second order a voucher code had been applied too.

Watch out if you have Prime and order a couple of things. Nearly an hour on chat trying to sort it out.
I ordered a Hori Switch fighting stick, delivery tomorrow with Prime and a Splatoon 2 gamepad, must be coming from Europe so only on expedited delivery.
Would NOT accept the £20 code and I'm trying to explain to the chatbot that obviously there is a glitch in their system because of the way they work by creating 2 separate orders in the above circumstance even if checking out both at the same time because no one item was over £150.
Jeezo - got it sorted out in the end though and had the £20 manually added.
Plus then just cancelled and reordered the gamepad for an extra fiver off to make up for the time wasted on a Friday night :grin:

Used the £5 discount code on a PS4 game pre-order then discovered it was cheaper at Simplygames so cancelled it then I went on Amazon chat and they said they couldn't apply the £20 discount to a pre-order but instead issued me a £20 promo code, went into my mini SNES pre-order, clicked change payment but left it as was and clicked continue and it took £25 off, somehow the promos stacked and now down to £44.99 :smile:

That’s what does it on some preorders. If you change the address, card or add a gift card balance, they take away your preorder. Have seen it happen to many people and have experienced it myself. Most recently upon the launch of the Switch
It’s good if they have fixed this now though and I may apply it to my Snes preorder if that is the case.

Sadly not and tbh the best way to handle it is with great maths as by using maths you can find the best usage of the vouchers. The trick I find is to get the values of your goods as close to the £35, £75 and £150 marker as possible and also see if you have any pre-orders elsewhere you can grab on Amazon instead
For instance, I cancelled my Ni No Kuni 2 King's Edition at Base (£135) and got it from Amazon (£140) and added Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (£28) with the £20 off code. = £168
Because I am a Prime member, it goes down to £164 and the voucher brings it down to £144. (£138 for Ni No Kuni 2 and £26 for Superstar Saga before voucher)
Because I moved my Ni No Kuni 2 to Amazon and there is a £5 difference, it means £15 could go towards to Superstar Saga pre-order while keeping my Ni No Kuni 2's King Edition. £26 - £15 means by moving my Ni No Kuni 2 pre-order to Amazon and being able to use the £20 off voucher I just got Superstar Saga for £11 ^_^

Yes I was on the phone to one of the indian agents half an hour ago, he asked me where I saw the code but I could not find it on Amazon at that time, I saw the change payment method on here whilst on hold so said I may call back thinking it would defo work on the Xbox One X, it didn't but I have already used it on the 3DS XL Samus edition anyway

A suggestion for anyone that wants the Dragon Ball FighterZ collectors edition (cost £130), use the £10 off code which brings it to £120.
You could also add in another cheaper game for example, Yakuza Kiwami Steel Book Edition which cost £25 and use the £20 off code which brings the total to £134.98.
So in a way you can think of it as buying Dragon Ball FighterZ as full price and the Yakuza Kiwami Steel Book Edition for just £4.98 or Dragon Ball FighterZ as £120 and Yakuza Kiwami as £14.98. :smile:

trying to use the code on south park on ps4 (to the transfer to my mario odyssey preorder) and when I apply the code it just says "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase" very frustrating.

Did you choose standard delivery? I've only had pre orders turn up on release date no earlier and once because of a bad driver a day late, but credit to Amazon they did give me £10 on my account for the trouble. Only then after I kicked up a fuss about the terrible delivery situation in which the driver claimed they attempted delivery after 8pm at night on the date of release and they didn't keep to the contracted delivery date promised.
I personally wont be using Amazon for games if it's something I want quickly on release I will be using other stores that may deliver early or at least usually on time and I know Royal Mail wont deliver past 2pm in most cases as early as before 8am on or before date of release. I can't condone Prime without having some sort of delivery slot. It's fine if having the day of release to enjoy the game or don't care if it could be till 9pm for delivery but for me I'm not doing that again.
I would only get my Xbox One X from Amazon if I could have used the £20 reduction becuase I already have £10 promotion applied from credit I had applied, along with the £20 gift card. But I'm really thinking if I can't use the £20 promotional credit I already have stacked with the £20 discount code and the £20 gift card, I will be going to a store I have pre-ordered with already that uses DPD. This is so I at least know what time of day to expect it and won't have a chance of a driver dropping the package out the van onto the road or claiming they attempted delivery and never came. It doesn't happen like that often but it does make you question are the savings worth the possibility.
(Amazon if your reading this, £20 coupon+£20 promotional+£20 gift card would mean I would only have £389.99 outstanding).

if they refuse say you'd like it passed over to a supervisor and say you know for a fact that the discount is being used for pre orders and amazon have to be consistent whether the fact i'm with amazon prime was a reason for the discount i'm not sure.
i did get it after numerous emails if your willing to spend the time writing these for 20 pounds then do it if not then just give up and move on.

I just cancelled my Mario Odyssey preorder are shoved a new one in my basket (seeing as it's back down to £41.99 again), got on the chat, spoke to customer service representative "Amazon" lol, played dumb about the code not working and got it manually taken off. £34.99 - result.
Edit: Using my girlfriend's account the codes are not working. Is anyone else having this issue?

After all that that's the response I got just told the same as the person on the live support no extra help from a so called supervisor.
Although it isn't showing in my Xbox One X preorder, i have an email i have to reply to once it's dispatched and they will refund me £20 to my payment card.
CLEARLY the £20 should not be able to be applied to orders placed before the deal go live date re the t&c's of the deal, which would be fine BUT only IF everyone was being told the same thing and declined the discount!
Amazon being Amazon will always buckle in the end if you complain enough to them, it's why they are NUMBER ONE in online retailing and people come back to them in their droves and also why their risk free shopping, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT even when their in this case WRONG!

Technically Amazon now can't see that I've applied those Codes the way they've been done allowing me to apply an extra code to another qualifying product. Already got Mario Odyssey on Pre Order as well but as people have reported in the thread they can't add the code In via the Order only a Gift Card Balance.... So I'll get in touch with them tomorrow about that one :smile:

The T&Cs are clear - but the code is able to be applied to other consoles - I added a DS XL and another console to my basket over £150, added the code and it took £20 off, I did this in prep for the questions that may have been asked like 'this is not for consoles etc'.. but wasn't asked.

What Gives?
The terms and conditions are clear, which is why that yesturday and today the response I got was the same that only orders made between a certain date are applicable and an extra response was recieved with the information that only products in the list are applicable for the offer which the Xbox One X is not.
Unless they've changed the terms today I really can't see why anyone has had the £20 discount applied.
If anyone cares to share with me the transcript directly in private message perhaps I will try for a third time.
Also the offer is one time use, doesn't say code but offer people who tried to abuse the use probably are in the wrong and ok it is strong of amazon to outright cancel the order and instead should remove the discount on the second order a voucher code had been applied too.

Initially code didn't work but contacted customer service via chat and advisor deducted £20 after placing order
I ordered a Hori Switch fighting stick, delivery tomorrow with Prime and a Splatoon 2 gamepad, must be coming from Europe so only on expedited delivery.
Would NOT accept the £20 code and I'm trying to explain to the chatbot that obviously there is a glitch in their system because of the way they work by creating 2 separate orders in the above circumstance even if checking out both at the same time because no one item was over £150.
Jeezo - got it sorted out in the end though and had the £20 manually added.
Plus then just cancelled and reordered the gamepad for an extra fiver off to make up for the time wasted on a Friday night :grin:

You could also add in another cheaper game for example, Yakuza Kiwami Steel Book Edition which cost £25 and use the £20 off code which brings the total to £134.98.
So in a way you can think of it as buying Dragon Ball FighterZ as full price and the Yakuza Kiwami Steel Book Edition for just £4.98 or Dragon Ball FighterZ as £120 and Yakuza Kiwami as £14.98. :smile:
