If you are a student, you can get amazon music unlimited for 6 months for £6, then 4.99 a months, down from 7.99.
It says "must verify enrollment in a recognized degree-granting university to qualify". So this isnt going to work if all you have is a nus card.

Thanks for pointing this out, doing a postgrad course in spare time and was able to redeem this. A huge feather in Music Unlimited's cap is the fact it has a web player and my work internet doesn't block it. I'll be spending a lot of time at the computer over next 12 months, so this is a big benefit.

Does anyone know if my daughter ( a student) signs up for this if we could use it on the alexa dot which the whole family uses but is registered to my Amazon account

If you are only going to use it on the one dot the echo plan for one device for £3.99 is cheaper option

£6 for 6 months appealed rather than a long term thing! Thanks though ..

Heated great deal. I've been using Amazon Music Unlimited on a 4 month trial and like it a lot, compares pretty well with the competition IMHO. Wouldn't pay £7.99pm for it but then again it's still better priced than Spotify / Google Play Music etc at £10pm.
Would have tried for this as I am a student member but just on an online course so I suspect it wouldn't qualify for this as it doesn't grant a degree but great if you can get it....

Yes but Spotify does take NUS. So it's £4.99 if you have one. Amazon looks to be clamping down, not that I'm surprised.
