So with the normal 7 having been on regular offer recently for £35, this makes the kid proof case £34?
Or is there something else about this that makes is of value?

It comes with a 2 year warranty, meaning replacement if kids break it. Also has a years worth of kids games, videos and such.

Anything of this nature will get at least a 2 year guarantee based on the fact that such a product will be expected to last more than a year.
But the games etc may well have a value over the year of use, so thanks for clearing that up.

No problem, i went searching for the same answers! From what I have read, it only really works when connected to wifi. So downloaded movies and parental controls don't work when travelling.
About the warranty, it is more than just a standard warranty: if the kids smash the screen it gets replaced is my understanding. Hope that helps.
Peace of mind: protection package with Kid-Proof Case and 2-year worry-free guarantee - if they break it, return it and we'll replace it for free. No questions asked.
Here we go:
Unlimited Fun for Kids: one year of Fire For Kids Unlimited gives your kids access to over 5,000 popular apps and games, videos, books and educational content from Disney, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street and many more.
Add even more content to your child's profile in Fire for Kids to give them selected access to apps in your personal library, such as Netflix, YouTube and Candy Crush Jelly Saga.

We got one for my daughter and it lasted 10months before it needed to be replaced tbh for the money can people really complain it's kept my daughter well entertained. Thanks op I'm just about to buy again as I'd rather pay out a extra £23 for a new pad as £3.99 a month on subscription cost £47 for the year

I have one for my 3 year old and she loves it, comes with 12months of prime kids so has loads of cartoons for her to watch and access to kids apps then its £1.99 per month after for prime members.
Its safe aswell as only allows her to watch and play things that are of her age unlike another andriod tablet where she could get access to anything on the internet.
You can pre-approve youtube videos that you have pre-vetted on the adult profile so they cant watch other stuff.
The case protects it and amazon give a 2 year if they break it they replace it.
It has loads of learning apps for her to use aswell.
But its true you will need wifi to get the most of it as in the car or on a plane they only have access to the games/apps that have already downloaded but thats like any tablet you need internet for internet videos.
Just make sure you limit the use of the tablet to certain times so they know they cant live on it (But im sure you dont need parenting advice from someone on the internet)

These are terrible, they only work with internet connection, we filled my kids ones with movies etc but after about half an hour without internet it's useless, they can't do anything, we've gone back to the Samsung kids tablets

Cold because the charging ports break on these so easily, even adults can't use them nevermind about kids

Send it back then as you have 2 year warranty, have had ours 18months and never broken the charge port.

I did send it back like 3 times, every time it broke within weeks, even with just me charging it carefully. Eventually I made them refund me, my daughter was heartbroken that her Xmas pressie was off getting fixed so often! Idk if all tablets are the same as it's the first one we had, but replaced it with a mini laptop tablet 2 in 1 thing and that's been fine for last 6 months or so
