Hey, anyone know how to get showbox on Fire 7? I downloaded the apps2fire app but am struggling to understand how to install it??

No problem, you don't have to use app2fire. All you need to do is go into setting and "allow apps from unknown settings" then download the apk file from the internet and install it.
I've installed play store onto this device without the need of a computer. Its not not a bad product, runs the Play store without any problems, including various apps

How did you do that? I am trying to figure it out also
The Tesco deal also includes 64 points (worth 64p, or up to quadruple that if you use a boost offer, e.g. Pizza Express, Hotels.com).

Anyone know how these compare to my aging hudl2? Ta

Poor screen resolution on this compared to the Hudl2. But you'd probably find it hard to do better for £60

I'm in the same position. HUDL2 is getting slow these days.

Get these. We replaced 2 x Hudl with 2 x Amazon fires for the kids. Much better. Battery lasts a lot longer and just as good to use in real life. We even made a profit on the Hudls when selling them on the bay. Crazy.
Just tell amazon its for a child and the adverts aren't appropriate and they should stop them for free.

Yes you can pay £10 later to remove adverts...and these are all reduced including Echo and Dot as the release of the Echo Show is imminent.Already on Amazon.com site in USA. In my opinion I'd double the memory.

Sad to see Amazon still haven't released a new high end tablet. My 2013 HDX still comfortably beats the HD 8 in all areas. Good for the price tho, so hot deal.

Looks good, couple of questions:
1. Can i but the cheap version and then pay to remove adverts later? 2. Is doubling the memory for £20 worth it, or is the basic memory okay and just add a card?

Spend a bit more and get a decent screen. It's really lacking, particularly on browsing and text.

Sent mine back due to lack of screen mirroring or casting support.V probably someone on here will be Able to tell me how I could've done it

Had a quick look on ways it could be done, but they referred to old models being rooted with custom ROMs and that was when they had a micro hdmi port, which I'm fairly sure this model doesn't have. :disappointed:

Hmmm, depends on what you want to mirror. For me, downloading the Google playstore was a must and was very easily done. Then downloading allcast meant I could stream from showbox, movie hd and local videos and photos etc. I'm not sure about the Amazon videos but I think everything else worked. I used it with a Chromecast and not a smart tv which is important as I have difficulty connecting to smart TVs with these apps.

If you've got Android phone you can use Apps2Fire like someone said above, but I used the first option here howtogeek.com/232…et/

Is this anygood? thinking of purchasing only do use only for the dji spark attached to the remote control.
To have it asbigger screen and not to drain my phones battery when I'm out and about.

I bought one on Prime day a few weeks back and have to say I am really pleased with it. It is a big upgrade from last years 7" version. Faster and just all around better to use. I installed the Play store with ease too. Great for consuming media when commuting or travelling.

Bought one on prime day and so far, it's the best android tablet side the Nexus 7.
Installed the play store with minimal amounts of fuss. The only issue is Amazon's mediocre launcher which doesn't play well with Nova but I can live with that for the price.

You need to install this app play.google.com/sto…etv onto any Android device ie mobile, then anything you have on your device can be automatically sent to any Amazon fire device ie tablet/stick etc!

Can also get these slightly cheaper from Tesco direct at the moment.
