Seems like a very good price, considering the recent spikes. 4x4gb sticks!

16gb becoming the norm now? I'm still with 8gb and for gaming 8gb is apparently enough...guess I'm not a big multi tasker

Well not really. Most people buy 16gb because it's cheaper when it's on sale than a normal priced 8gb kit. Also they either know they need that much ram, want future proofing or just go with the flow of "more = better".
8gb for gaming is still alright, and should stick this and perhaps the next year but some games really like to eat that ram. Also, it depends on the resolution you're gaming at aswell

I bought my 2x 4gb sticks a couple of years ago as I wanted to spend more money on other components
I read a few articles referring RAM and gaming performance and the difference on 30+ games they compared only seemed to be a few FPS if anything so it was reccomended to spend money elsewhere but having 16gb won't do any harm , I'd just rather put the money towards a 1080ti

Games don't utilize that much ram for now anyways. Multitasking is what takes it. Anyways, it's a nice way to futureproof one part of your PC atleast

Well now some games are using 64bit EXEs so they can and sometimes do hit that 8GB limit, a few games such as rainbow six siege and Just cause 3 are culprits for this and it can affect other apps such as discord, teamspeak or skype if you were to talk to others while playing. So mileage may vary.

RIP  You can get the 4x4 kit for 90 GBP and use 2x4 in your system, and sell the other 2x4 for 60-80 GBP when it goes off sale  Or you can just use all 4 sticks

Nice one, I'm thinking it is worth paying for one month of prime to get this deal.
