I posted it earlier and thought it was going to expire today. But actually still going!

Just putting this out before someone asks!
7Y54 Vs 7500U Processor The laptop runs on a i5-7Y54 processor which is slightly slower (~14%) than other ultrabooks out there with i5-7500U. But the i5-7Y54 is a lot more energy efficient (~70%), so it is generally more expensive.

In real world usage most Core M CPUs can sustain somewhere between 1.3 and 2.3GHz depending on the workload due to being passively cooled. So they can regularly offer only 50 to 60% of the performance of a regualr i5 for sustained loads. For light loads they are fine but if you run the CPU at 100% only for 10 seconds the clock speed will drop to roughly 1.4 to 1.8GHz.

Pretty sure that the OP has allowed for the Quidco cash to get his £633. Hopefully, a mod will correct it.

The remaining 'discount' is from the 12% quidco cashback, which you need to login to Quidco before launching acer website from there (Quidco). The remaining £86 would be refunded to you on Quidco after checkout (probably take a few days from experience).

There's a convention on HUKD not to include Quidco in the headline price, as it may not track. Also, it's usually calculated on the ex-VAT price, so £71.91, not £86.
You really ought to change your headline price to £719.

Cool, didn't know that. I will change it now. Thanks

Sorry, but Full HD is substandard in this class. No digitizer, no touchscreen? Matter of taste, but not my thing.

Anyone know when the Back To School offer finishes?
If you are looking for a fanless Core M laptop keep an eye out on Ebay for a Latitude 7370. They are significantly lighter than this (~1.2Kg), have the same almost frameless screen bezel as the XPS 13 so are slim and come with Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports which use USB Type C connectors. The touchscreen versions tend to have a carbon fibre lid and they are solidly built in general. Very expensive new but the official Dell refurbs are £600 - £800 including an on-site warranty.

HEAT!...
This is under specced at £1000 but for a little over £600 it is just the right spec to make it a great deal. Just compare what you can get in places like PC World or Amazon for the same price. Yes compromises have been made to get the size down but it still a very good machine (especially at the discounted price). I've been looking for weeks for a decent laptop for my daughter, without breaking the bank. Initially the Acer Swift 3 (almost impossible to buy now unless you pay over the top on the Acer website), there was a Lenovo 710S deal earlier but that's sold out and now this. This also ticked the boxes on the style front so we've gone for this.

As mentioned above watchout for Quidco and Topcashback calculating cashback excluding VAT and delivery.... although stated as 12% it actually works out closer to 9% if you add the VAT. In my case I'm tracking on Quidco at £72.... and not £96.

Anyone who purchased: did your cashback track? Quidco has been a bit naff recently. Thanks for any response!

Haven't had it track yet, bought it yesterday. About to file a claim. What a pain.
Topcashback has 10.5% cashback instead of quidco's 12, but I have no idea if it will stack with the 10% discount acer have on. Quidco's site specifically says it will. Otherwise I'd certainly advise going with them over quidco. It's a hell of a deal, though.
