My elderly Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is still coping with the demands of my 3yo though this looks good for the money. What's the catch? MediaTek OK for this? How about micro SD and HDMI? Rhetorical, I'm off to find out. hdmi and micro sd present though specs and finish reflective of the price, I'll get some more life out of the tab.

I didn't know 15+ tablets existed, nor that people have a use for that.

I got a 17" HP Slate. Perfect for travelling. Bring your own IFE on planes. Hangs from the magazine holder in the back of the seat & as wide as the seat. Only use it for Media. Good for watching TV in work as well with SkyGo No BBC updates or Lions this year!
It has got a slot for a sdcard but the review does not look good. Under powered processor. Contrast-sapping screen. Polarising bling additions.
Too many cons and the Amazon reviews are bad as well.

A lot of those Amazon reviews are not even reviews of this 10" tablet. If you look under the reviewer's name, it shows the size of the tablet they are reviewing and a lot of the poorer reviews are for 7" and 8" versions which will have different specs and certainly won't have HD resolution screens.

Yes, and this price point is better and you get an original case too, I went for one as well.

Got convinced last week ,that I needed to up my £200 budget. Now hukd had me confused . we've had this the lenovo tab 4+ at£200 ,Samsung tab a falling to £180. I feel 16gb may be restricting , the lenovo had more ram ,this has the extra extra memory . or do I keep saving and go for the Asus or huawei at £269 .

What version of android is it going to be supported up to....those Lenovo ones that are always on here are already not supported

The tablet is only available in black, the gold is the bling.
Read the review link I posted above then you'll see where the gold/plastic comes from.

Bought my wife this tablet last year and she has used it most days since with no issues so far. Battery life is only average but value for money at this price point is high for a 10" HD resolution screen tablet with 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, a micro HDMI port and MicroSD slot.

Large tablets are certainly useful. Beyond 15 is generally impractical to carry, it is better suited for stationary home use like a 2-in-1 PC. 1920 HD is fine for watching films from a distance but to me "tablet" implies close and frequent use so above 13 really need at least 3K.
The Samsung A is better than this but both are good deals, good to see tablets with decent resolution on HUKD. Too many low resolution deals get posted that ultimately are poor value unless as toys for children.

Nope, If a movie is encoded in 1080p, then 1080p resolution is fine for watching media either up close, or from a distance. Its actually the opposite, when media is encoded in lower resolution that you need to watch from a distance so things dont look blocky & pixelated

I'm not talking about films, I said for everything else. I have had large HP Slate myself, it is more a portable 2 in 1 PC than tablet.

Bad move Acer, the free case had made the deal sweeter. I'm very much against these manufacturers selling these overpriced accessories, your products should come with a case to protect it in the first place.
