Can't believe I fell for the hype, it's not real prosecco as it's got a screw top, tastes like flat Lambrusco. Might come in handy for cooking or tombola prizes. Note to self...you get what you pay for

Yes, they 'appeared' to leave off the Frizzante bit on the advertising! Prosecco can actually be a flat wine as 'Prosecco' is just a name. What you wanted and maybe expected was Prosecco Spumante - with a cork and foil. But, the screw top should have alerted customers to what it was.
Some may well like it, but Lidl may have pulled a fast one here!

The usual behaviour to get what they think is a deal.
Some people using self check outs buying more than 1 pack.
I bought 1 pack at Lidl this morning, Also best to wait 10 minutes before store opens to buy this deal a lot of people queuing , I have never seen soo many people buying alcohol at 7am in morning the time the store opens. some people using self check outs buying more than 1 pack.. have to remember this deal was in news articles and all deal sites so was guaranteed to sell out quick.

Same at my local in Scotland. I will not be bothering and they said they are not getting new stock tomorrow. Don't know if that's true or not. I asked and they just said they weren't getting another delivery tomorrow so try another store.

Newquay was sold out by 9.30am back in stock tomoz but what time is anyone's guess. Considering I went in on Friday to get some, before realising it was Friday. And again today to see an empty shelf. I think I'll skip it tomorrow and just grab some from co-op instead!

Limited to 'maximum of 6 of each item per customer' so I would assume that's 6 x £20 cases...

It's fine for cooking - - - add a good splash when you're frying onions for a casserole, or when having with sausages (sausage and onion butties in sourdough bread mmmmmmm!)

Wow some uncalled for bitchyiness here! I used to work in a wine merchants as a student and quite like a nice Sancerre myself. I also like cava rather than prosecco. Surely nowadays wine buying really is personal taste rather than ' good taste' that matters. Also, even wine experts welcome alternatives to corks as they can taint a wine. That said, I'd prefer a couple of drinkable wines rather than 6 undrinkable ones

If this is the one with the screw top rather than a cork it is probably Lidl's poorest Prosecco, IMHO. Last few bottles were pretty flat. Still perfectly drinkable, but their other stuff is worth the extra quid, or whatever it is, extra.
Edit. Now I know the reason for the lack of bubbles. Learn sometning new every day. Just read the information about it on Lidl site. It states "Frizzante means that this is not quite as fizzy as Prosecco Spumante"

Nothing like advice from a true wino....who doesn't know their Frizzante from their Spumante. Any recommendations for a decent red?

It is the wife who is the wino, I am a lager lout!
I've tried this before, its actually a decent Prosecco if such a thing exists. It will never beat Spanish or French wine but it's refreshing.

This is the screw top frizzante and not the more popular spumante. It's not great to be honest, far better to buy something you enjoy drinking and not just buying something because it's cheap.

This looks like the screw top stuff. Not for me, you get what you pay for with this. However, voted hot as its a stonking price for the quantity. Fine for a gathering, but not for a treat.

I quite enjoy this. It is a little less fizzy but nice flavour and quite handy with a screw top. I do still favour Aldi's spumante but this is a close 2nd so I'll be stocking up!
