That's news to me Biddy 2.
If they are active shutter though, they are not worth it.

I prefer active than passive...preference nothing more.

Interesting awoodhall, I've never seen an active TV do a good job with respect to Crosstalk, What numbers are you able to see on the attached image considering you shouldn't be able to see any when you close either left of right eye? On my old LG plasma, you could still see lots!

I can try it when I get back, but never had any issues with crosstalk on native 3d content - films and games. It is a Samsung ps51d550 and does a great job still...even after the 7 years or so of ownership!

Thanks awoodhall, it will be really interesting how your TV goes with the test. When these active shutter TV's came out, the odd one was really good with respect to crosstalk, (I mean the odd panel as opposed to model of TV.) but the majority were rubbish. My LG Plasma was so bad that I could see nearly all of the numbers. I think the reviewers got a, "Golden sample."

At least I assume it is because the guy in the background had got his shades with him

Got one of these 6 months ago for £1800. Worth every penny. Grab the last and best 3D set while you can. Hot.

Best currently, but certainly not the last as Panasonic have three 4K 3D tvs available on their 2017 line.
Unless you meant LG’s last 3D tv of course.

Personally I would say the E6 has better 3D and chipset than the C6. I went for the E6 at £1999 beginning of May.

I think that all the LG OLED's are very close with respect to 3D. My point being, that there is then a big gap in quality down to the Passive 4K LCD's and then another gap to anything active shutter. If you are buying a TV and 3D is important to you, you should buy the best while you still can.

I agree that you should buy best 3D while you can. I like to have it just in case. I have the few 3d Blu-rays in the racks. I went for the E because it looks soo much nicer and went well in my room. The front facing speakers also produce a very good sound around my roon which I can't fault also.

If you mean the soc then you're wrong there the same

The what? Well LG must have been wrong as they told me the chipset was better and that the input lag for gaming meant the E series was better. They must have been wrong then....

On all of the forums I've been on, they have always said the C & E have the same chipset whilst the B is the one that's different. Not that everything you read on forums is correct......

I was under the impression that the C was curved and had 3d whilst the B was flat and not curved....but chipset still same. These days I don't have a clue what is right and wrong (excited).
I am happy with the E6 though in my room. The front speakers give out more sound, due to it being in a cut out area of my fitted room.

From everything I've read, the C is nearer to the E as it has the same chipset. This has been backed up by the way the updates cycles are similar to the E and not the B. The C is curved and lacks the soundbar.

Ahh ok makes sense. Yeah and the C has one less HDMI port too.

Yes Brabus, there have also been reports of people flashing E firmware to the C as they are essentially the same TV. (Apart from there physical differences.)
