Simply not true. Most freebies send you a confirmation email that you will receive it and I do, most. The 'you might be lucky to be in the first 1000' NEVER send anything.

I absolutely hate those new non freebies, they collect data, thousands and thousands of email addresses, not telling you if you were fast enough to qualify, and maybe, MAYBE send a dozen. Clarins and Estee Lauder do the same.
