When I signed for the £18 AYCE data plan the actual quoted limit was 1TB.

They have changed it again, now it's £35. But on the plus side, all the Pay as you go plans now have 3000 minutes. So the only thing you actually pay more for is data

I still have the unlimited everything plan for £15/month contract-free!

You can ask in your local three store they offer 100 GB + Huawei b310 router for £30 a month on 12 months contract I took it last week and I actually have 120 GB data avail
I think this deal isn't available online it's in selected stores only
Where I live it works quite well I have speeds in range 80 Mbps DL and around 30 Mbps UL
If you're using Netflix or Tv player it won't eat your data from your monthly allowance
How it works. As long as you’ve got some of your monthly data allowance left, you can access selected music and video streaming, at no extra cost, and without using up your own data. Just go to one of our partners’ apps or websites, pick your favourite song or video, and start enjoying.
What's included? Currently, the following services are available:
Netflix TVPlayer Deezer SoundCloud

Sorry I was thinking you could put the sim in a MiFi router or similar but the 30GB hotspot limit reduces the usefulness of that.

Bit cheaper if you're an existing customer too.

Get it as a additional sim and you can get it for £23 a month

It can't be too long until industry watchdogs investigate this limited 'hot-spot' nonsense, the network providers sell you a huge amount of data then try to prevent you using it.
(I know there are ways round it but you can practically guarantee high usage customers will be on a watch list)

Net neutrality really should include this, imagine you leased a car and you could only drive the manufacturers approved roads, but mobile networks...
Networks need to catch up and except people need unwired data for a variety of reasons & compete with wired providers for more customers/profit to raise their bottom line.

Just be patient to the end of your term. I was on the same deal but at £15 for 2 years and then early this year I was offered unlimited mins, texts, data for £19 and now I'm set haha

How are you going to use 70gb on a mobile phone in a month? Obviously you can use the 30gb personal hotspot for laptop/ipads etc etc

Despite the 30gb tethering this is still hot, okay if you're happy to watch video or stream music on your phone.

I have 30 gb of data, 200 minutes, free calls to three for around £8 per month after cashback :-) right now it's going to an end and I'm looking for something as good as I have right now ;-)

Data is data, the carrier has no right to dictate what device I use to transmit it.
Until that changes.... :poop: :poop: :poop:
In the strictest sense it's also a breach of net neutrality.

24 Aug 17#22
Hot! Although I'll keep my current plan £18 a month all you can eat data ( I told them not to contact me so they just keep rolling it month by month now!).

After 5 months of 32gb for 14.50 i got a free upgrade to 64gb. This is 25 and if i put this in a m4 aqua id probably get the full 105 on tethering as it didnt council down last time. Not sure id want to pay extra 10 tbh and unlimited is only 3 more. Not voting either way Three are very hard to negotiate with unlike EE

Only 100GB now. Didn’t think it could last.

24 Aug 17#26
this could be the future of home broadband for those of us out in the sticks, with no chance of fibre.
added bonus could get rid of the line rental.
how good is a 4G connection for data in the real world ? download speeds , latency etc.
justicesj
24 Aug 17#27
So it 100gb and 30gb hotspot. can you use all 130 as tethering??
justicesj
24 Aug 17#28
according to terms you can use full 130gb as personal hotspot.. Is this correct?
jaddy to justicesj
24 Aug 17#30
No, its 100gb total, but you can use it all as a hotspot. the 30gb bit is hotspot only if your on unlimited data plan.
nublets2k to jaddy
24 Aug 17#33
Three's site says it's 30GB hotspot?
jaddy to nublets2k
25 Aug 17#36
Seems 3 need to make there mind up then , i was thalking about justicesj image of 3 terms. but then your image is different again.
Id say justicesj image was when the max was 30gb or unlimited, but i think 30gb hotspot is max now they have 100gb. either way id say the hotspot will still come out of the 100gb
nublets2k to jaddy
25 Aug 17#39
Their T&C's are just outdated, they only allow 30GB hotspot.

i'd be on this but been with 3 for the last year and indoors, the 4g coverage has been bad. ive had a 30gb allowance and given the chance, wouldn't bpther switching on the wifi but i have to at home as even with 4g on 3, get about 3m-8meg download speed which is bad. outside, it shoots up.

brilliant deal
if they got the coverage and signal strength sorted which is exceptionally weak in hospitals, supermarkets, town centres, Airports and most towns etc
give someone a supercar and tell them to use it in a 30mph zone

"We've just launched the 100GB data plan today and terms and condition as per the new plan from today is that you can use up to 30GB data personal on 100GB plan."
"Our technical team are working and will be updating the website soon."
So this is a more expensive version of the AYCE data, with less data. Brilliant.

I've been using the unlimited data PAYG £25/m which has just gone up to £35/m, tempted by this although the 30GB limit would concern me as I have the SIM in a 4G router.
Getting good speeds
My landline broadband is 1.6M so just got the phone disconnected and no line rental to pay.

Any network providers do something like 20GB 100 minutes 100 texts for like £8 per month? I'm currently on the Black Friday weekend Three £9 per month 4GB unltd mins and texts (got the £25 Amazon gift card with my friend so it worked out to something like £7.50 per month) but use almost all the data each month, a lot of minutes but barely any texts as almost everyone I know is on whatsapp.

Seeing as Virgin Media continue to up their broadband prices (3rd increase in 2 years of being with them!) I would love to get rid of them get an AYCE sim from Three (who I'm with for my mobile), which you can apparently still get for £24, stick it in a router and use all the data without worrying about the 30GB personal hotspot nonsense. Has anybody had any success with doing that and can offer tips on how they've done it (what router they use etc)?
RaiKush to misterbigalow

When I worked for them they used block phone sims that were put in routers. I don't know if thats the case these days

I've been doing this for quite a while now, with no issues. Just using the three PAYG Sim, unlimited data in a 4G router. (Huawei E5180) Used to be £25/Mnth but has just gone up to £35/Mnth, just got the landline disconnected as no fibre and ADSL is 1.6M
Speeds are 70M down and 30M up, have seen nearly 100M downloads recently when updating Steam games. Ping speeds are higher than Fibre if you do a lot of online gaming.

13 Sep 17#62
In the heart of London i hear it's not great and I've found the surroundings occasionally have poor speeds during peak hours. It's mostly very good though. If you want this much data/unlimited there's no other provider and you get a good speed the majority of the time.
Right now at 12pm near Wembley I'm getting 21 down 23 up.

Unless you need 100GB or more in one go I think the other deal is better: 12GB data =£12
All-you-can-eat minutes.
All-you-can-eat texts.
12 month contract.
+18GB Data Add-on= +£5 = £12+£5 = £17 +AYCE Data Add-on= +£5 = £12+£5+£5= £22
100GB offer= £23
Another benefit is you can use the add-ons as personal hotspots (60GB in total). *The above prices include £2 discount for existing customers, just add a Three sim number.
