Can anyone comment on how long the batter life lasts for?

Fantastic camera. Be sure to get the official waterproof case though as I believe there are some dodgy ones out there.
I bought this and use it regulatory while holidaying, cycling etc. Also as dash camera. Wonderful device.
However soon after I purchased I thought the focus was a little bit out. After some research online I found this to be the case as the lens is originally set up for selfies and not landscapes...so anything beyond selfie distance is blurry. It's a simple fix and done in 5 minutes, greatly reducing image quality.

Good camera, but no case or accessories. Non-original cases around £6-£10. Does have a built-in tripod thread so for dry use you may be able to use that.
In the end I got fed up with having to use a phone app to control it, so bought a SJCAM SJ5000X Elite, quite a lot more expensive but has a screen for preview and controls.

Spent a couple of weeks weighing cheaper action cams up before finally ordering a Firefly last week. Would have gone for this. I think you'd need to order an accessory kit separate.

You can click on Get Deal, then search for "Xiaomi Xiaoyi 1080P 16MP Sports Camera Camcorder w/ WI-FI, BT - White"
& then it lists first for me.

Was a type-o the 5 is just above the t on my keyboard. It doesn't correct it for me based on having a number in the word. >

Anybody know which has the most comparable app to Go Pros offering?

Without taking them apart it is not easy. A couple of youtube videos used to exist talking about it though. You could try and look them up. It might be worth looking at Techmoan's video on the SJ too. His review is so in-depth you should be able to compare and contrast quite well.

Not bad, soon it'll be the same price it was 2 years ago... It's a good camera and much better than the SJCam (and fakes) junk. Look on dashcamtalk and you can significantly improve the video quality from this by doubling the bitrate, not too hard to do and definitely worh it.

How would you tell the difference??? Want to know if mine is fake...

More likely you bought fakes. Loads were going around. the proper SJ's were really good.
Disagree with that entirely. Tried a couple of SJ4000s and the image quality is pretty poor.

A great camera. I got it for £52 the day it released then the price seemed to jump to around 65-80.
Not sure off the company as not used before. But a great price for an amazing camera.

I've had this camera for a couple of years now, its quality is better than a GoPro 3 Silver and Xiaomi is like the Chinese Apple... Very good deal considering the price you can find the camera on Amazon or EBay!

great camera, paid roughly this amount a couple of years ago and have used it a lot.
This one is better than the usual suspects around £30 simply because of the Sony image sensor. not that the £30 ones aren't good, just saying.

Still a good price for those looking I think.
