Its not full UK 4g compatible it does not support band 20 (800MHz) so no 4g on O2 ,tesco, giff gaff, sky and certain areas of other networks

Both the band information and customer review photos show that this is the China Version. The box will be unsealed and have had Global ROM installed by the seller. You can get the B20 Global Version<< for around £97 on AliExpress, which has full UK 4G compatibility and will be sealed with Global ROM pre-installed.

GlentoranMark, thanks for reply mate!
I'd recommend Xiaomi over any other Chinese brand. Go for it and you will not look back I guarantee you...

You can get the Band 20 model for about the same price. Band 20 is now used by all networks, people saying it's only O2 or just outside cities are completely wrong. For example EE use Band 20 for VoLTE so no band 20, no calls over 4g.

Are there normally customs duties on orders from this vendor? They must have some 'Tax & Duty Insurance' according to their T&C, but I do not see this option in the checkout page...

Customs duty have nothing to do with the seller, it's on the import side of things in the UK. Most orders sent via the free regular method are not flagged up but you should be wary you may have to pay the 20% VAT and an admin fee if you get flagged up. The vast majority on here haven't paid it and I myself have never been flagged in over a dozen or so orders from China. You take the risk but pound for pound, phones from China are vastly superior in every aspect.
I'm stuck between this and the Ulephone Power 2. I'm coming from an Elephone P8000 so appreciate the 5.5" screen and the Power 2 has a massive battery which is a necessity for me but Xiaomi seem a better brand with a wider userbase. I'm sure the battery on this will last a day's heavy use but the Ulephone has more RAM and a 2 day battery for very little more.
I'm buying today, any opinions?

Paid for on 6 June via Ali Express (from Goldway) so far, no phone, no refund and no reply from Buyer Protection. It's now 28th July 2017.

Same £10 monthly, but 2.5x the data, with roll-over, significant increase in speed, and 5x more minutes.
Feel like a sucker for having staid with GG for so long

If you implying that a credit card is safer, then you have exactly the buyers rights and protection with a debit card as you do with a credit card.

I've had a debit card linked to my account for over a year and haven't encountered any problems. Phone deals from AliExpress<< get posted often on Hukd and many members have bought them without issue.
As said you need the "global version" for band 20 support. It's only another few quid.
