This was £41.85 yesterday. I was thinking of posting but then thought it might go cold. At £39.85 it's no brainier deal. Heat applied.

Is there much difference between this and the normal controller? I'd be buying it as a present...

Nope, other than aesthetics......its a cash cow to be honest. Other than double the range...but why bother? Unless you can 360 no scope whilst on the toilet, or score a goal from the garden.....pointless really better off putting that bit more to an elite controller

I'm still on my original controller I got with my launch Xbox One. It's starting to show its age and I'm looking for a replacement. I'm always on this site in the hopes of finding a good deal and wondering what the community makes of this controller deal. Worth shelling out for this controller, or better to wait longer?

Nice find. These launched at £55 just a few weeks ago.

This has rubber on the grips, the standard ones are plastic just with with a pattern, Heat.

Been after this for a while. Thanks heat added. Now to figure out how to explain the missus why I need another controller.

Any idea when they are bringing out the blue version?
Also I've seen what the Xbox One S elite controller looks like, it's got like 3 notification lights beneath the profile switch on the front of it and above the profile switch. I wonder what extra features they will be for. The front is all textured for extra grip too so seems like a big improvement over the old elite.

Do you have a source for that claim?

I'm not allowed to say, just check back when they announce it and be baffled about how I knew.

The 'grip' is an exaggeration, more of an aesthetic. It would probably be like a 10% improvement in grip BUT it would just wear out in else than 6 months use.

Use a Squidgrip if you're lacking in grip?
Either on this pad after you've worn the grip out or on your existing pad.

twice the range? do these stop the random disconnect issues?
willyzippy89 to yubious
5 Jul 17#25
Random disconnection shouldnt be about the range, it will be to do with what you have in the room on nearby
Eg wifi router, tv, microwave, fridge, plugs etc they all contribute to drop out unless its actually faulty.

Does anyone know does this work with the amazon box?

Elite bumpers fail though and don't function as nicely as the One S pad.
If someone was to buy a standard controller for £35 then this is a no brainer.
You're getting rear rubber grip on the shell which is an extra £7+ on design Lab alone, elite ABXY buttons and a unique front shell with extra grip through the laser etching. These were selling for £55 when they launched recently so this is a great deal IMO. I've bought one myself - not that I need it.
