Its been this price for years. Hopefully the quality has improved as the one I had twisted under force. Maybe ok if your nuts aren't too tight.

PS if it flies off and then so do you and you t**t your head and see stars, then you will understand the telescopic angle of this product. :man:

I just tried this on my rusted on trailer wheels, this tool stood upto me stamping on it to break the nuts free.

Better to get something like a 1- 1.5 m scaffold pipe. Put it over the bar and use that for leverage. You can generate more leverage with your body weight and its safer than stamping on the bar.

Better golf club than wheel brace
Sockets are loose on the nuts, and too much angle on the handle

Yep breaker bar way to go, always handy to have. These telescopic angled wrenches either bend or slip....

It might be a bit low-end but it will probably still be stacks better than whatever came with the car. Must be worth the upgrade. I've got a cheap one and have helped my neighbours with it a couple of times when theirs has not been man-enough.

Everyone should have one in their wheelwell for when the vehicle manufacturer's chocolate one melts. (_

As I said: incompetent. Or lazy. Or both.
I would think the torque doesn't vary much between cars, so they could use a more appropriate setting.

But they never do that, do they. They've just got a standard setting on their airgun which they use for everyone. Also it's quite common for them not to tighten them up in a diagonal pattern

Wouldn't that be "enthusiastic, but incompetent tyre fitter"? After all, nuts should only be tightened to the specified torque. And the airgun should allow to select the torque used.
I even use a torque wrench at home when changing tyres so I don't overtighten nuts. My father would be quite mad at me if I didn't - he's a (retired) mechanical engineer.

It doesn't appear to be chrome vanadium steel, so useless, voting cold

A very handy tool especially if your wheels were fitted with a air gun. Just change the socket 17mm 19mm for decent quality one and these are spot on. 4.60 at B&m last time I looked.

Tighten your nuts, Isn't it

This has been posted before albeit sometime ago. Same then as now, don't bother, they bend, especially if an euthesasticq tyre fitter has tightened your nuts with an airgun.
Buy a breaker bar and use it with you socket set.
