I have one, it's a nice little brushed motor toy grade drone which folds up and looks a bit like a shrunk DJI Mavic if you squint. Don't expect the return to home button to bring the drone back to you - it doesn't have GPS...So it'll come back to where it thinks you are, which is somewhere else. FPV works well enough. Camera quality good for the price. On mine the altitude hold and headless mode don't work well at all and every so often it decides to go batshit crazy and do its own thing, which is actually kind of fun. It's 30 quid so not the end of the world when you eventually kill it. I enjoy flying this level of drone more than flying my larger ones. Find a safe area and try flying it in wind. Much fun. Proprietry battery is annoying. Buy at least two more so you can keep flying as the take ages to charge for your 10 mins of flight. Give the drone a rest in between batteries.

I totally disagree. My Phantom is an amazing bit of kit with a great battery life, range and camera with gimbal. I would avoid bringing DHL into the picture! The last time i ordered a £25 mp3 player from a china seller, DHL charged me £5 upon delivery! My mate wanted the same mp3 player so i ordered another one and surprise surprise i got a letter from DHL after delivery stating that i owed them £11 for customs charges and threatened me with legal action if unpaid, after a bit of googling, i found out that DHL seem to be notorious for this and decided not to pay. I didn't think customs charges applied to items as low as £25. I haven't heard from them since February 2017.

Got mine delivered today. Turned it on indoors and hit the take off button and the thing drifts quite badly. It won't hover in one place at all.
Any one know if there's a way to callibrate these so they don't drift??
EDIT: DUH Should read instructions. Trimming apparently. I'll try that later.
Also - anyone have success connecting a phone? I've tried both a Pixel and Nexus 6P. Can find and connect to wifi but the app when I click on play displays no picture. Only a series of buttons that do absolutely nothing.
On a plus side - the charger cable has a light.
On a negative side - this is definitely not brand new. Some marks on it and also one side of the drone had a cable trapped in the joint! I had to loosen a screw to push the cable in.
EDIT AGAIN: Actually have red LED on charging cable but I have no LED on the battery. Looks like my battery is duff as well then!

Although there's no LED on my battery, the LED on the cable goes off when the battery has been charged.
I've played around with it on 4 charges and still can't get the drifting right. It drifted badly to the left so I clicked the right 3 times and then it started to drift forwards so I clicked back and then suddenly it started drifting left again!
Haven't tried it outdoors yet, worried it'll end up in the neighbours pond but it seems like good fun so far.
The wifi connectivity is a bit rubbish, did get it working eventually.

Got mine yesterday - quick delivery of about 8 days in total since I ordered. So far, so good. Box wasn't sealed, but mine definitely hasn't been used, unlike some others. All pretty straightforward to set up and instructions in good English for a change, rather than the usual nonsensical translations!
I'd bought the MJX deal from here previously (lost in a signal dropout / high altitude / high wind disaster :() and I have to say, the VISUO is WAY more stable than the MJX was. I was always fighting the MJX, even when the trim was bang on, and don't think it ever actually hovered on the spot. The VISUO instantly felt more controlled, and after a small trim tweak, I had it hovering stock still in mid-air, which was awesome
What I would say to anyone struggling with trim, is don't try and set it when flying indoors. I made this mistake with the MJX, but because of the force of the draft the rotors produce, I actually found this was making the drone drift indoors as the draft bounced back off floors / walls / beds etc. As soon as I got the MJX outside and re-calibrated the trim, there was no drift to speak of (although it was naturally skittish!) - same with the VISUO.
The controller is a bit Marmite, but I actually really like it's resemblance and feel of my XBONE controller. The take off / hover and land button is an ace feature. Thankfully not had to test the STOP button(!) yet, and not tried the return to home, although quite how this will work without GPS is debatable.
Downloaded the app and connected to my Sammy phone without problem, but not tried the video or photo functions yet - bit windy here today and don't want to lose this one as well!
Overall, really please with it. If I can get competent with this and not lose it, I'd definitely consider upgrading to one of the higher end models. Great fun
Cheers to the OP and happy flying folks

17 Jul 17#81
Mini update: Gave mine a good test outside last night as it was still and a beautiful evening. Bit disappointed that the 'Photo' and 'Video' buttons on the controller don't work on their own. Looks like you need to be running the app to start and stop recording, which seems a bit daft. Acceleration when climbing seems a bit slow, especially compared to the MJX I had before. Tried all speed settings but it still seems sluggish going vertical and doesn't go anywhere near as high as the MJX either, although that might be a good thing give that's what did for my MJX
Also, I had a few disconnects last night - mainly after landing and then trying to take off again, which was a bit annoying. Still pleased with it, but will put it to the test more when I get my spare batteries from Tomtop - one battery definitely isn't enough!
se23
17 Jul 17#82
How’s the still image quality?
DirtyPixel
17 Jul 17#83
Further Update: Hmmmm. I'm getting increasingly frustrated with this thing now. Figured I'd try the video / photo options via the app tonight as it was another lovely still evening. App setup was fine, battery freshly charged, everything connected fine, cracking sunset to capture. Took off, cranked it to full speed, hit climb (again, pretty sluggish), rotated the camera towards said cracking sunset, then it decided to have a mind of it's own.
Started drifting backwards, not responding to my controls. Randomly gained control again and tried to bring it home, but that didn't last long and off it went backwards again, this time crashing into the undergrowth in next doors garden, losing a prop guard in the process - lost forever in the bushes by the looks of things. During all this time, the quad was never more than 50ft away from me, yet it still managed to lose signal with the controller. Not impressed.
The video quality I did manage to pull off is pretty poor and I didn't even get chance to try a still image as I was too busy wrestling to save it from disappearing. Not got much confidence it this thing now. Flight without the app / FPV engaged was sketchy enough, but with those engaged, it's totally unreliable for me.
My initial preference for this over my lost MJX has long since gone. The MJX might have been skittish, but it was responsive at a much greater distance (with and without video recording) and a hell of a lot quicker to climb and descend.
Think my experimentation with toy drones is done :disappointed:

No mare - mentioned this in a later post in this thread. By all accounts, the photo and record buttons don't work and you can only record via the app, which sucks. My lights don't even flash when pressing the buttons.
I've kinda given up with mine to be honest. Kept losing signal and hence crashing even from 50ft away with batteries fully charged in both quad and controller. After losing my much better MJX beforehand, I've decided drones aren't for me.

Mine's definitely faulty, so sent them a message to which I got a very short, abrupt and unhelpful reply. So I wrote a 3 star review about my experience on their site - surprise, surprise it didn't get published (ever noticed the lack of lower rated reviews on there?).
Finally, I requested a refund - a request which has been completely ignored. Avoid

Ok, I received mine today. It’s definitely new, box is undamaged and everything works as it should. It drifts a little but I still like it. The altitude hold does make it fly a little slow but I’m cool with that as I’m a complete novice. I’ll check out wifi features when weather is better.
I probably won’t order from Tomtop again though as I’m not happy with the way they deal with queries. I’ll stick to gearbest from now on as their service is decent imo

22 Jul 17#96
How do you do an altitude hold on this? Been dying to work it out for the sake of pictures/video!
Has anyone tried inserting a MicroSD card in it and capturing photos/videos that way yet?
DirtyPixel
22 Jul 17#97
I had an SD card in it from the start, assuming the buttons on the controller actually worked. They don't. All recording still has to be initiated and stopped via the app, which the records onto the SD card, although I was under the impression the app recorded at a lower resolution!
I dunno - massively underwhelmed with as you may have gathered, but good luck to everyone who has a no-faulty unit

22 Jul 17#98
I just press the ‘take off’ button and it hovers about a metre off the ground. Go higher and it holds there too. I had to use app to take video.
I’m so crap at flying these drones but this one is so simple. Knowing how simple it is using its crude interpretations of altitude hold and headless mode has shown me it’s worth it to buy a proper drone like a spark.
I’m sorry that DirtyPixel’s is faulty but this thing is great for me. Video quality is nothing to shout about but using the vr mode with my cheap vr headset is great. I’m very happy

Mine arrived yesterday. Ordered on the 6th July, arrived on the 22nd. Box was very slightly battered but all seems ok and unused. I ordered two spare batteries too. If you use the usb charge cable supplied then the charging LED light (its on the cable, not the battery) seems to work. Mine drifts about a bit (but it was breezy) but seems ok otherwise. My neighbour has a similar drone with a basic camera and it was fantastic seeing our neighbourhood from up high.
For the extra £7 or so pounds it’s a no brainer. Choice is always good though.

Have you tested the drone and the batteries out yet ? would appreciate any feedback if possible, Thanks!

Hope this helps... Look on YouTube for some decent Reviews by Quadcopter 101 , this guy seems to know his stuff, for info on various popular Drones. :face_with_monocle:
Hope that helps.
did you pay with paypal?
eg. postnord.se/http:/tracking.directlink.com/......
Delete the part in bold so it just starts http:/tracking.directlink.com/......
And as long as you paid via paypal there is no problem getting a refund if it never arrives/arrives faulty/breaks etc, it might just take a month to sort out. Done it before with other Chinese importers without a problem.
Hope yours comes and works fine mate
I've played around with it on 4 charges and still can't get the drifting right. It drifted badly to the left so I clicked the right 3 times and then it started to drift forwards so I clicked back and then suddenly it started drifting left again!
Haven't tried it outdoors yet, worried it'll end up in the neighbours pond but it seems like good fun so far.
The wifi connectivity is a bit rubbish, did get it working eventually.
Good times ahead....fingers crossed of course
Also, I had a few disconnects last night - mainly after landing and then trying to take off again, which was a bit annoying. Still pleased with it, but will put it to the test more when I get my spare batteries from Tomtop - one battery definitely isn't enough!
Have you checked your junk mail for the dispatch co firmation.. mine went to my junk even though the order confirmation came to my inbox.
Went for the free postage and was sent via royal mail. Trackable all the way.
No customs issues at all.
I've kinda given up with mine to be honest. Kept losing signal and hence crashing even from 50ft away with batteries fully charged in both quad and controller. After losing my much better MJX beforehand, I've decided drones aren't for me.
Cheers
Mine's definitely faulty, so sent them a message to which I got a very short, abrupt and unhelpful reply. So I wrote a 3 star review about my experience on their site - surprise, surprise it didn't get published (ever noticed the lack of lower rated reviews on there?).
Finally, I requested a refund - a request which has been completely ignored. Avoid
I probably won’t order from Tomtop again though as I’m not happy with the way they deal with queries. I’ll stick to gearbest from now on as their service is decent imo
Has anyone tried inserting a MicroSD card in it and capturing photos/videos that way yet?
I dunno - massively underwhelmed with as you may have gathered, but good luck to everyone who has a no-faulty unit
Mine drifts about a bit (but it was breezy) but seems ok otherwise. Still playing with it at the moment and I have nothing else to compare it too. So far, very happy for the price.
1) Hovers pretty well.
2) Trim is a bit hit and miss.
3 The return to base is crazy goes in the totally wrong direction.
4) auto take off and land works well
5) instructions are a bit confusing
Otherwise im happy with it for what I paid
I guess my 7-12 business days starts now.
