Presale UMIDIGI C Note 2 Original Mobile Phone Unlocked MTK6750T 4GB RAM 64GB ROM Cell Phone 4G 4000Mah Battery Smartphone
What do you think? Seems decent spec for the price..
I know a lot of people on this site are not keen on pre ordering Chinese phones....
*Note - the price is a pre sale price.
Little review here.. Looks like it's Umi version of android is pretty lite and runs well. Review

IMHO I think the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the one for me, especially the 4gb/64gb version

I saw that pop Up too, however I also still see it at the lower price...
I think the £125 price is the price it will show after the pre order discount expires.

Why do you say that? What makes that a better phone? I am looking to buy one of the two too.

UMIDIGI seems a resonable Chinese mobile maker.
At least they have a proper support section with frequent rom update every 1 to 2 months.
Because the iPhone doesn't have it. :stuck_out_tongue:

The AlieExpress entry mentions compass&gyro but gearbest does not mention compass nor band20.
Anyone know for sure which is right?

Xiaomi make loads of quality products and don't overstate the specs. Some of the other Chinese manufacturers do. While I prefer the front fingerprint sensor on this, the xiaomi edges it for the known reliability, battery life, snapdragon chip instead of mediatek etc

I love my Chinese £100 phone. Will not ever buy another expensive phone. Can't speak for this one but people should really take the risk and buy cheap, fast probes with good screen. I bought mine from gearbest and was fine.

I bought one from AliExpress too, it was the same price 100 quid. It said on the website that it has 16gb internal memory, it was only 1.5gb.Awfull camera and also the screen cracked just being in my pocket. So then I got an Xperia Z1 for 250 quid which was awesome

UMI are ok as far as import phones go. But Xiaomi are much better in every department, other than full UK 4G. Another plus for umi is a fairly clean OS but this seems to be changing now if the review is anything to go by.

If you like to use gps for waze etc. Stay well away from umidigi and mediatec processors. Been burnt before not again. Support virtually none existent and software updates won't last long, they abandoned on new phone launches. Go for xiaomi if you want a cheap phone

I believe I've read that the technology hasn't been widely adopted by banks etc. in china yet like it has here in Europe... and the USA

You can ignore that comment as it's incorrect this phone does have 800Mhz Band 20 4G
For future reference though some UK mobile phone operators use the 800Mhz Band 20 for 4G internet along side other bands and so you may find that it effects the coverage you receive depending on where you are or who your network operator is or both... some Chinese phone operators don't include this band as standard as it isn't widely used within China and they have to pay licensing fees for different bands so why waste money when they won't be any need to have it
I bought a Xiaomi Redmi 4a about a month ago and it's the best budget phone I've ever owned so I would highly recommend buying one of their better spec'd budget phones (although make sure to buy the "Global" version for play store and English language rom etc. + 800Mhz B20)

Bought a lot of chinese phones, great value for me. GPS is iffy on many models and glass delicate. This doesn't mean anything to me as I dont use gps and if i break the screen so what? its a £100 phone.
