Your opinion and choice. I place a high value on reliability and have seen too many faulty vestel TVs to consider them reliable. Panasonic thought the same having taken a bashing following their use of Vestel rebadged TVs.
I don't have proof to show you though if you Google vestel reliability you'll likely find why I won't buy.
The warranty removes most of the concern in this case though I suspect it will be needed.

Surely picture quality is kind of what you want in a tv...

This has an IPS panel but the 55" version of the same TV has a VA panel. What's the difference between the two panel types, is one better than the other?

No, it's not. The picture quality may well be stunning though be in no doubt these are poorly manufactured devices with inherent issues.

Doesn't really matter who makes it, I have the 43 Inch version also made by Vestel and it's as good as my Sony, if not slightly better and that was twice the price.

Hisense are terrible when things go wrong... sent my 49in one back because of a firmware issue.... took weeks for them to attempt a resolution, by then I'd had a refund !
LG or Samsung next time :smirk:

I read somewhere that this model has issues when connected to xbox one and ps4. if you intend to use for gaming, check out the forums. I searched for this model and " game lag". i think it has trouble with displaying 4k gaming.

As usual, just a reminder that Toshiba doesn't make it's own TVs (like every other brand apart from LG, Sony and Samsung).
This is a Turkish Vestel TV. Go for a Hisense instead.

I gather Panasonic have stopped selling Vestel manufactured TVs, did you forget them or am I mistaken?

Isn't there a surcharge for people without Costco accounts?

Yes, it's 5%. In this case that would be £16.49 but if you join Costco as an online member the fee is £15 incl VAT. You would save the £15 back over the next 12 months easily.
