Anyone bought from these guys? Where did they ship from? Was there customs duty on arrival?

Good spot! Please be aware that their recommended retail prices seem to be rather over inflated compared to manufacturers retail prices.

What does having a more expensive movement gain you over something that cost £50 from Argos? Genuine question.
It's not like something really expensive is more accurate than a market spesh digital watch.

I guess that applies to everything from cars / dogs. More finer things cost more money, generally have better sell-on value, generally are more unique / appealing / exotic / better made.

When comparing mechanical movements to each other. More accurate, serviceable, longer power reserve, hand winding, hacking, smoother movement, more complications etc.
When comparing quartz to mechanical, more expensive mechanical movements can be serviced and can last indefinitely therefore make good heirlooms. No battery changes. Held in much higher regard by watch collectors. More saleable etc.
Quartz watches are more accurate, cheaper to buy, cheaper to service cheaper to add complications more durable etc.

You're wrong -- some have the Sellita, some still have the ETA -- it's a matter of chance until CW run out of their stock of ETA movements. In any case, the SW200 is probably a bit better than the ETA 2824 -- at least you get an extra jewel for your money.

there is no way Le Locle costs 800 pounds RRP, not even Chemin de Toureilles costs that much...

Creations have started getting hit with customs VAT charges over the last few months. This would put another £50 on the price of this watch. Hopefully it won't happen to those who ordered.

They have sold out of the cheaper auto's now, I bagged a malvern auto for £199.50 delivered, the silly thing is, is that the deal was stone cold when I went on. Christopher Ward thread

£425.00 buy direct from Tissot UK online which is also standard street price. But if you are going to get from Far Fast anyway, hunt around on internet for better prices e.g. ebay in USA http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T0064071105200-Tissot-Le-Locle-Mens-Powermatic80-Automatic-Black-Dial-Watch/263037690929
