Excellent flightstick for the price range and compatible with both PS4 and PC. This was on sale at £55 over on box.co.uk last week. Bargain from Argos at this price. Well worth it for Elite Dangerous alone.

That's the PS3 version... If you want that version it's slightly cheaper here as found by SixtyFive

Would buy as I love flying games but I don't actually play any at the moment , on pc or ps4 , used to play Microsoft flight simulator a while ago , was hoping they would release a new version but doesn't seem like they will

I just bought the latter version, i don't have a PS4 so it was pointless paying more for the newer version, and all works perfectly well on everything i have tred it on, Elite, MS flight sim.....well worth the £29.99 it was going for a few weeks ago.

Actually, the electronics inside are different - enough to make a noticeable difference to the performance of the joystick. You can try them both for yourself, and you should immediately notice, for example, the slack deadzone of the old PS3 stick is much improved in the new PS4 stick.
As I'm sure you know, the PS3 and PS4 use slightly different interfaces for their pads (hence why rumble and the Home button on a DS4 won't work on a PS3), so it's consistent that other controllers aren't fully cross-compatible, too.

Sadly Force Feedback in joysticks kinda died out after Microsoft stopped making PC gaming peripherals (their Sidewinder FFB joysticks were fantastic). Logitech made one but it was terrible.

Hi guys, I don't know much about flight games but I want to try shortly on PC platform. A few doubts if someone could help:
1- do any of these controllers have something similar to force feedback in driving wheels, where one can feel how heavy the plane is and vibrations on accelerations, braking, hits, etc? How is that feature called, if it's not force feedback?
2- any good recommendation for flight games for PC but arcade style (not simulation)? Those ones where you might just be able to finish your gaming session in a matter of minutes, maybe something similar to titles like After Burner in the arcades back in the 90s?
Thank you!

Fair enough! What a bummer. Thought they were getting on the whole backwards compatibility bandwagon!

Just out of interest, what's the difference between this and this?

If you're a PC owner then not much except the colour. For those of us who use a PS4, sadly, the model you have shown is an older version which for some reason is only compatible with PC and PS3. The new one works on PS4 or PC but doesn't work on PS3. Go figure.

Argos have sold exactly what their pictures show. This is not an error by them...It's just a really good deal.

I'd like to see Argos try and find the buyer if they went in the store and paid cash.

It's a mistake in our favour if it is one.
Alas the deal for an Oculus Rift that was posted recently where Curry's were sending two pack of controllers instead of one was not the gift it appeared as Curry's are now contacting buyers for the return of the extra controllers worth £99.00 & the Law says they have to be given back or paid for. The other alternative is they can issue proceeding & will win though the Courts. I pity those who have already sold the extra one as that's theft as shown by the intent to deprive the rightful owner Currys. https://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/money/spending/consumer-rights/can-i-keep-goods-delivered-to-me-by-mistake
This 100% the T.Flight Hotas 4 model & comes with a free game code. I know having just picked one up.
The free game is called War Thunder

Yeah I noticed the pictures show it as a hotas 4 model......That means anyone who buys it & finds it is not a 4 model can get a refund without any problems so I wonder myself why it is not red hot....I suspect it is down to the confusion of Argos calling it a hotas 2.

Have a look at the pics and reviews on the link. Argos just can't label things properly. It IS the T.Flight Hotas 4 model.

For the cold voters, can I have some feedback regarding the reason? I'm confused as this has been hot at a higher price. I know Argos availability can be a bit hit and miss, but still.
Opening post
Well worth it for Elite Dangerous alone.
