According to developer Deck13, this demo comprises "hours of unlocked content" and your progress will carry over into the full game, should you buy it.
The Surge is Deck13's follow-up to Lords of the Fallen. It's a futuristic adventure about a man in a mech suit who fights robots then equips their severed limbs to become a bigger, badder man in a mech suit.

Still feels a bit like a poor mans Dark Souls, but with the sci-fi theme and things like crafting and targeted combat it stands out in it's own right a bit. Good if you've already played through all the similar games like Nioh, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne.

I queried this a while back. It's something to do with the new style layout of the site, you can post to deals and freebies. I'm on the old style still, so no fully sure how it works!

Twenty minutes was all I needed to realise that the game is just as bad as its predecessor (the dismal Lords of the Fallen). It's an uninstall from me.

Gonna try the demo, i like the look and idea of the game but the mixed reviews made me hold off from buying, i did enjoy lords of the fallen though so i hope to enjoy this.
