Not a deal in any way, shape or form, but useful info, thanks.

Presumably feeling the squeeze from amazon prime now and morrisons, which is odd since I find APN is missing a bunch of basics that tesco definitely isn't. Makes it difficult to order stuff in the day to cook a meal with in the evening if they're missing, idk, celery, or courgettes (I could only find seeds. If you're willing to wait months for courgettes to grow next day delivery is fast enough, no need for 1 hour delivery!)

We get tesco delivery once a week and do not get many subs, Thurrock area. And when we do they are usually acceptable. Sometimes it gets late and I really can't be bothered to put a shop on so this same day delivery will be great. (highfive)

Tesco have certainly increased prices with home delivery a normal delivery mainly costs up to £7 in my area, unless you book at like 7am or 10pm then you might be lucky to get one for £2.
Also they never do offers anymore with home delivery, even when you don't order for a while there's no incentive to go back, no clubcard offers these days either. Only good point is the deliveries have always been on time and the pickers have done a good job. I'm just not going to pay so much for delivery and don't order enough for a delivery saver deal.

I once had two whole chickens substituted for three bags of frozen diced chicken... and it was 40 minutes late!

Waitrose and ASDA are both a sub fest in my area. Though Waitrose are great for giving free stuff and posh subs!
I call it upsubbing.
Trying to make it catch on.
Anyway, thinking to move from Sainsburys back to Tesco. Haven't done shopping with Tesco for over a year, though I was using them for over 12 years until then! I just can't look at their chicken. It hideous where we are. Not sure how they get away with it.
Maybe worth taking this one month trial to test the waters. No need to order meat anyway, pretty gross when you think about it, just the missus likes to eat a bit occasionally.

You must be served by a poor store, out of Ocado, ASDA, Sainsbury's and Tesco I've always had the fewest number of subs with Tesco and Ocado.

I can't seem to find an option to trial delivery saver :disappointed:
I'm confused - been using this since last year, is the 'deal' the fact that it's Joe national and wasn't before?

The offer is that same day grocery delivery is included for a limited period of time for Delivery saver customers. Assume they may price it separately in the future.
Also I don't think theres any harm of reminding people of the free 1 month trial on delivery saver as can save quite a bit, especially if you are ordering large furniture items from Tesco Direct which can have a £25 delivery charge.
