I really can't overstate how immense this is. The deep dish maple base is a lovely change and the blue cheese chicken topping is sublime.

These pizzas are reduced in price via rotation with the other brands. If this one isn't cheap, one of the others are. Not a deal, just a cycle.

How about the consumer being responsible for choosing the products they buy?
What is the total (environmental and monetary) cost of a cardboard insert that does the same job, including the impacts from recycling? (Transport, chemicals and energy used in the process, transport to where it's going to be reused and so on.)

Ever tried shrink wrapping something without a solid base :wink: You'll find this stops the pizzas from curling up when they go through the heat shrink tunnel. I'd prefer cardboard personally as it is easier to get these on the oven shelf without worrying about melting them.

I wish it was cardboard, it's nearly always a round piece non-recyclable single use white polystyrene for the pizza base. Worse thing, is there is absolutely no need for it, as part of the packaging. Companies like Tesco should be responsible for this s*** all the way to landfill, then they wouldn't use it.
Does anyone really think a Pizza is "more premium" by having this white polystyrene crap as the base?

I got the spinach and ricotta one last time they were on offer, really disappointed, it was very bland and very basic quality.

Not true at all, the finest range was fantastic imo, especially the Salsiccia Picante one.

I'm always tempted when their Finest pizzas are on offer because the toppings look amazing on the shelf, but then I eat one and remember that they're super bland with a cardboardy base.

It's not on their website but there's an incredible barbecue chicken, blue cheese and paprika one for £2. Very different from the norm!

Had these last night. Had the chicken one and the pepperoni one. Average at best but better than a lot of the other supermarket efforts.

There's a variety of flavours at half price including Spicy Meats, Pepperoni and Chicken & Bacon.
Also some more "premium" flavours with a £1.40 reduction @ £2 including the fantastic Pulled Pork 'N' Pepper pizza that I've just demolished.
