Amazon's free returns service is only good if you buy and return a few items a year. Trust me, don't buy stuff from Amazon and assume you can just return it if they are at fault. Every return secretly permanently counts against your account with Amazon - it makes no difference to them if they are at fault or not - they seriously don't care - they just look at the numbers. Amazon flag and permanently terminate people's accounts if you return a certain amount of items even if you've done nothing wrong and they are at fault. Their hidden returns policy is totally ridiculous and illegal. They are amazing with returns and your best friends until you return a certain amount of stuff.

And to be fair with amazons free returns service why not buy it and see for yourselves people? I'm sure most won't be disappointed and if you are it's not gonna cost you to find out either way anyway.

Ok well I believe the walls are plastic coated in a metallic style paint on the outside only as inside is the usual black plastic.
The clasps are metal but everything else seems plastic however I would stress this is a quality piece of kit and seems extremely heavy duty for a plastic product and I still think it's a great buy for the money.

I bought one from Screwfix for around 19, it is currently in their clearance section. It is a plastic box and tote , with a metal skin on the outside and two metal catches.

Will - have you checked yours with a magnet? If it's not even plastic coated metal will definitely raise it with Amazon.

Is yours metal plastic, plastic metal, metal inside, metal outside, 100% plastic, 100% metal, or made of unknown substance? :/

I bought this the last time it came up at this money and it arrived last week. Surprisingly large and for £11 it's a total no brainer
Brilliant for the money

Thanks Sam for that. That video adds even more confusion IMO lol. Watching that video it fully implies the walls are made entirely of 100% galvanised metal and what you can see is metal. We now have at least two people who own one stating it's plastic, one person stating it's metal on the inside only, a video that states it's completely metal, a product title that states 'metal plastic' (whatever that is), one retailer description which states 'premium metal finish' (i.e. metal on the outside) and another which states the walls are metal. I'm glad we cleared that up lol. I'm starting to wonder if there are different versions of this same toolbox or if everyone is completely insane. Anyway, will wait and see what turns up.
Thanks Will - I'm amazed at the description on both sites given what you've confirmed.

This toolbox combines metal walls with a protective plastic base and edges. The top has a V-groove to hold timber or pipes in place for cutting. It also has a fold flat, soft grip handle. Heavy-duty metal catches provide secure locking.

Sam - copying and pasting the description in question doesn't help matters lol
One of the verified reviews states: "The images of this box lead me to believe that the silver around all
four sides of the box to be of galvanised or some form of metal, where
as, the silver shown is in actual fact plastic."

I'm confused - I thought the main silver bit going around the box is metal and the black part is plastic but just noticed one of the verified reviews says the silver bit turned out to be plastic? Eh? What's the metal bit they're talking about in the title of the product - don't tell me it's the latches lol?? The Amazon description states metal walls??
On the B&Q site it also states: "premium metal finish for longevity and durability" I really am totally confused - If it's not metal it would be completely false advertising. Can someone who has one of these urgently confirm what the "premium metal finish" is and if the walls are actually metal??
Also, one of the reviews is a bit worrying says:
"Been using the box for two days and the lid has already cracked... It's only been used for light household diy!!!!"
That was a verified purchase from a woman too lol(!)
