Big sale on VR games at the minute on the store for those interested

Man I've just gone against my personal vow to not buy into vr until the 2nd gen or until this price plummets to silly money. But after picking up the camera the other day in a warehouse deal (as a future investment) I knew I'd be getting this sooner than later. I chose 'Like New' as I did earlier in the week with the ps camera, and it came in a slightly damaged box, but clearly never used. Hopefully I get similar outcome with these (otherwise that headset is getting a deep cleanse)
I suffer with motion sickness so this is gonna be a hoot.

10 Jul 17#28
I got one of these last week after sitting on the fence for a LONG time.
I had read all the reviews and sadly their reports of its shortcomings proved accurate for me.
The resolution and general "blurryness" are a real killer for otherwise fantastic experiences like the Star Wars battlefront VR mission, and playing games like driveclub gave me motion sickness after 10mins.
Reluctantly this will be going back to Amazon- I've taken good care of it though so it may pop up as a "Used-Very Good" item in the next week!
Note- I am using a Pro, so the resolution etc is as good as it gets. I just don't think the technology is there yet.

Hi all and thanks OP for the heads up. Much appreciated! Just wanted to confirm, I have ordered the PSVR unit for £215 (used like new) and the move controllers for £41 (used like new). Other than the games, what else do I need to order to have everything I require to have the full VR experience? Many thanks all!!!

It's a more expensive Playstation gimmick, just like the PS Move and the 3D games they got us to buy a 3DTV for. No way is this worth the £200 to play VR games on a very limited console that is the PS4.
Hassann
11 Jul 17#38
Hahahaha thanks mate (y) I've got the gen 1 ps4. Was gonna place an order on the very good condition ps4 pro but the description stated it had scratches on the top, sides and all sorts. For £254 I found it abit excessive, rather pay the £75 extra and get a brand spanking one considering the like new ones are all gone at 260

Why do you have a bed in your gaming room?
khirsah
11 Jul 17#47
I've had it since launch and I love it. Drive club a very poor game but here are loads of immense ones and online play with games like bridge crew and werewolves Within justifies my purchase alone. I've had a great time with mine.
Do wish the move controllers were specially designed so as you could use them to move properly in the same way as the aim controller was.

This is great value, but the new version for 339 pounds with a camera and two games (conservative value of 80 - 100 pounds) brings the new one nearly in line with this.

11 Jul 17#50
If anyone here is getting a PSVR then you need the Star Trek bridge crew game. It is awesome and even if you aren't a huge fan it's still a great VR game.

What is with some people trying to belittle others. He games in his bedroom, if he wants to call it a gaming room let him. Why try insult him for no reason other than your own enjoyment.
Guessing you have arcades in yours, a projector for a decent screen size, surround sound, sli1080ti, i7 32gb ram hooked up to a htc vive right? Or maybe just a ps4 and a controller with an office chair. It's easy to belittle people ain't it.

Cheers to the OP for posting this. Received today and it was brand new, everything inside was still sealed - result.
Was dubious about getting it to be honest and thought it wasn't going to be that great but I'm really impressed by it. However after playing for a bit this evening I got really bad motion sickness and had to stop playing. Hopefully will get better with time, will keep trying it each day for a week or two and then if no joy will send it back.

Resident evil is mind blowing followed by until dawn rush of blood for horror games
Batman VR is like being the caped crusader
Harmonix, Rez infinite, perfect are all good for chilling out too
VR worlds is great if you can find it for under 20 quid as full price is too much
even the playroom VR is highly enjoyable especially with company, and on the store theres a big demo disc you can download with about a dozen trial games
One move controller is OK but you really want another to enjoy all games. I also have ps3 move controllers and camera incase youre worried they don't work as well

My box was mangled and taped using clear tape in many places. Didn't have the warehouse approval orange sticker applied so was a bit worried it was gonna be in bad nick. Once opened, the inner presentation type box was immaculate and all items inside were factory sealed and brand new!

Sent ours back, during the setup the headset kept switching off and console crashing.
Only problem is amazon rep wouldn't / can't give another 20% discount, only a refund.
One email later to amazon, and they've given me £40 off a new one. Currently £318, hoping amazon will match shopto this week.

Everything thrown in a box together, no protection on the headset whatsoever. Filthy, greasy lenses, no earphones.
