Not sure if these are suitable for veggies/vegans. Any idea please?

Yep, it says on the pack suitable for vegans. They contain water, maltodextrin, gellan gum, xanthan gum both plant based thickeners, natural flavorings, citric acid, minerals, sweetener, antioxidant

I don't know how any one consume these, they are so disgusting. I imagine it's like eating mildy fruit flavored snot.

I hate the taste of most gels, High 5 ones being the worst. I only ever use them when running a marathon or in pre-marathon training. I'd always take them with water if possible (no matter what brand) as it'll help to digest them.
Torque ones are the ones I like best - when needs must. However they are pricey when compared to others.

SIS are pretty good and don't need lots of water to go with them. Easy to open but not very much better than High 5. Good price, shame about the flavour.

Bargain! Amazon have been some really good deals on nutrition lately, I'm fully stocked up for the rest of the year!
High5 give me stitch, these don't. Horses for courses.
Thanks OP

I prefer high5 to anything sis sells.
Cliff bars are a good snack but a bit pricier.

I remember my first ultra in 2012 it was 62 miles round the Norfolk coast and runners stopped at a chippy about 45 miles in - I just didn't know what to think haha

You'd think they would route these triathlons through a MacDonalds drive thru, wouldn't you? Save all this carrying stuff around. confused

Isn't this stuff just maltodextrin? You can get 1kg of maltodextrin for about £4.50-£5.00 from most supplement stores..

Yes, there is lots of maltodextrin in them but a tub of the stuff is not very handy during a triathlon or going to fit easily on a race belt!
For training rides/runs, buying a tub and making stuff up would be the ideal option but I have so many gels anyway just collected over time.
