SENNHEISER HD700 Over Ear Open Back Headphones, £299.95 and from past experince the store will typically charge 5.00 for delivery, sometimes they will offer for free. Would love the Beyerdyanmic T90s to appear in clearance again, as they previously had a clearance price of £160 or so. Obviously 300 is a lot for headphones, but a good price for these never the less, given that ebayers are asking for around 350 used.
Wow Price has just dropped further to 249.95!

Awesome headphones. Got these a couple of years back when Sennheiser had a discount code you could apply to their own refurbs, sound is amazing.

Good price, but not sure how big a step up from HD600s...
Edit:
A great comparison if anyone has the same kind of question.
I will stick with my trusty HD600s for now...

If you aren't over the age of 35 or spent all your yoof in clubs these are great.
Wasted on me though, I can't tell the difference between this and a cheapo £60 pair of bludio U's !

Purchased, thanks!
Called my local Richer Sounds and they said the deal was actually £240 for the pair they had compared to £300, other than being on display in a glass case there was nothing wrong with them. Also free DPD delivery!

Mate, I'm over 35 and spent years in clubs and raves. I can still very much tell the difference. Yeah you get some roll off of high freqs as you age, but it shouldn't stop you from discerning balanced vs unbalanced sound, depth of bass, clarity of mids, stereo placement and width etc.

Wow. That's an absolute bargain. I'm really tempted at that price but not sure what I would actually do with another pair of headphones!

I have a set put away and I'm hoping they sound nothing like the HD600 as i find them boxy sounding.
I suppose everyone's ears are different but i find even the momentums are loads more like a speaker than the 600's and more fun.

Actually good job, I think I've done well by resisting to buy these. Will wait for a deal on HD650, no need to spend 250 squid which I could put towards a higher value item.
