Don't knock it. I was similar, Seiko in my teens, Seamaster from 30s to my 50s as my daily watch but I'm now thinking of moving back down to a Seiko as there is something quite cool about Seiko whereas Omega shouts bling these days.
Not one of these Seikos but some look very good to my eyes.

There are a few Seikos that I like the look of. The SKX007 as well as the SKA371 are top of my list.
