Chain Reaction Cycles are now selling the 23c version of the Schwalbe One V-Guard Road Tyre for £17.34. These tyres have an RRP of £52.99.
The current price is 60p more expensive than these tyres were last week with a code. However, if you buy 5 you can use the clearance discount code WHSE2017 to get them for £76.70, making them £15.34 each.
Technologies: V-GUARD: An extremely cut-resistant high-tech fibre makes it possible to ensure, even on very light tyres an extraordinary high level of puncture resistance. In combination with SnakeSkin sidewall protection, Schwalbe call it Double Defence Technology.

This is frustrating. First the code stopped working, then they put the price up. I don't think they want to clear them.

Good solid tyre I've ridden the last 18 months on these. Oh and I ride on 23mm.

I’ve noticed a growing number of people by the roadside fitting new inner tubes to their road bikes. If V-Guard works, Schwalbe should do well with these tyres.
I have Schwalbe tyres with puncture guard level five on one of my bikes and so far I haven’t had a single puncture.

could this not just be due to the growing number of cyclists in general? more cyclists means more cyclists that could get punctures.

Excellent price.
Tried pretty much all the tyres on offer for my road bike. In my opinion, these are the best compromise between speed and puncture protection. Like most people nowadays I run 25mm but I do use 23mm when they come up at bargain prices.

Does anyone still ride 23mm?

As you suggest, most people seem to be following the recent fad to use wider tyres. As a result there are some really good bargains to be had on 23mm tyres. I have used 23mm tyres for the last 25 years with no issues.
