Just realised there is an app for this, for Android it is called:
Zinio for Libraries (allowing you to read offline too)!

Works with any library in the UK. No time restrictions either.

Is this for certain? No mention on castle point website, they do have borrowbox, can't see magazines on that one.

Essex libraries, Kent libraries and East Sussex libraries use rbdigital for e-magazines. Interestingly the range of magazines seems to differ locally. Still good though.

I have done this. Thanks. Is there a way to download them to read offline. I've tried installing Zinio offline reader but it doesn't accept my Zinio for libraries account details.

Zinio reader 5 works for pc. You can set up an account and sync your Library card. It then allows you to view off line. Also available for iOS and Android. It does vary from county to county as to what magazine is available.

I entered my credentials for Ealing Libraries but all I received was a really helpful error message "Something went wrong creating your New Account".

I have this, but I could never find The Economist on the list. Does anyone else have a similar issue?

As an earlier poster mentioned, perhaps it is limited on a per-library basis, the London Consortium has the Economist - there is nothing stopping you from registering with another library.

The card number has to be in a specific format, you may have to pop into your actual library to pick up the card as the number on the website (at least in my case) was not the same as on the library card (what is required to register for the magazines).

It did this with me for my local library so I had to contact the main St.helens library which said that their admin console did not have an account with me even though I could log in to St.helens library website. They created an account for me with my email and a new password which now works (library card number not needed to view magazines).

Thanks OP - I remember trying this a year ago and my area wasn't supported. Tried again and good news - Cambridgeshire now is.

It is nation wide. Also you can join other county's libraries.

Oddly some magazine are limited in copies. They don't tell you but when you try and check out the economist they say all copies are gone. My library says they only have 25 copies so it can't be all that popular oddly?
Still you can join at many libraries even if you are not local so long as you have proof of address somewhere.

My borough isn’t one of those listed, so I just picked Barking (the first in the list) and it worked. Thanks, OP

Will definitely check it out. Which library are you registered with? I might register with that if you can access TE
