Whos that with? I'd prefer a deal with o2 but they all seem crap. Didn't really want to join EE

Great Deal!!
Two questions...
1.How long has it been active for?
2. When does the deal expire?
I'm hoping to use it in three weeks time.

Hmm i could get the plus variant direct through EE but would cost £905 and 3gb data, opinions on whether its worth it over this? Id also get 24 months bt sport app access and 6 months apple music with the plus too..

Its a bit off topic but can someone let me know how much a contract for note 8 might cost when it releases? I'm hoping I can get a decent deal for £40.

No word on official price range yet but my guess would be £38-50 at launch with money upfront. Like most phone contracts, the more money you put up front, the lower the price per month and total contract fee. I heard on pocketnow that the Note 8 could be close to $1000 in value so you should expect high price per month if you don't put any money upfront. I'm sure there will be some great discounts in the near future so you might want to keep an eye out those across the comparison sites and on here too.

phoned EE retention who gave me the same deal for £26.99 per month £130.00 upfront. bit of a saving and save all the hassle of porting number etc. for any EE customers who are coming to the end of their contract

I done retention on the s8+ the day before I saw this deal, so might have gone for the s8 to save some money as i'm paying £37.99 a month now with a £49 upfront cost (does have 16gb data though)
I came from the s7 edge and I have to say Samsung have done an amazing job on the new s8 range. My s8+ makes my s7 edge look really old and dated.
superfamiking
7y 35d1#16
The s8+ is £779 rrp to buy and when it came out deals were around £45-50, If rumours are anything to go by you're looking at around £900 rrp on the Note 8, so when it's released I think you'll be lucky to get anything under £50 without some sort of upfront payment. The prices do drop fairly quickly though.

Its direct through the ee website, just click shop>samsung phones>s8+ 'good as new', its the plan with the 3gb data and 79.99 upfront with 42.99 monthly HOWEVER if you use the unidays 20% discount code it comes down to £34.39 monthly so makes it £905 over the 2 years, its also the 'good as new' version which is better than refurbished i heard so wouldnt be an issue

The phone hasn't been out that long so unless it's been owned by Edward Scissorhands i imagine itll be pretty much mint. Probably just a return.

Still better deal was on o2. £125 upfront cost, £27 monthly and 6gb. Plus £25 on quidco. Through e2save.

My husband called EE today as his existing deal finishes next week. Managed to haggle s8 down to £30.99 pm for 5gb data & £0 upfront. Stonking deal. I'm jealous as just got an s7 (which was a pretty decent deal too at £20.99 pm for 2gb data).

I had a chat with EE and they would not budge. Best offer was £32.99 for 24 months and £100 upfront for 5GB or £37.99 for 24 months with 10GB data. I might try again as all other good deals were with EE also so can't just switch.

I have been waiting for a good deal on EE for this phone to coincide with my s6 contract with Vodafone finishing, so I've gone for this. Quidco has tracked too, but only for ten quid. I'm hoping that this will adjust when the phone is paid for as so far I have only paid one penny as a security measure. Order has not been processed yet though as EE have queried me having an existing EE account ( I haven't but my missus has).
bbats01 - the code worked on Saturday evening.

Defo worth another try, my husband called today - best they could offer to match this at 5gb data/UNL/UNL was £32.99 with a hefty upfront cost. I rang, they offered it to me for £26.99!!! It arrives tomorrow, happy days

That is pretty impressive. Were you an existing contract customer or sim only customer? Did you go via retentions or have to say anything extra to get that deal? I will ring again over the weekend to see if they budge.

7y 34d#40
Did £26.99 deal have an upfront cost and is it still for 5gb of data. I rang EE this morning for my PAC and told them I'd seen a 30.99 a month deal with voucher code to remove the up front cost and they said they could match it. With a £7 delivery fee I'm paying the same as I would if I bought the phone from Amazon Italy and added a £10 sim with 5gb data.
So I can't see how £26.99 is possible because they'll surely make a loss, but if it is, I'll be phoning back!

I've been a customer a long time and my husband has a line with them too. Hubby tried through upgrades who wouldn't budge, I went straight to retentions and told them I was giving them 30 days notice to end my contract. He offered me two deals before the 26.99. I didn't say anything extra but I was very insistent on paying less than £28 a month due to retail price index bumping it up each year so keeping my line rental down was a priority for me. I did pay £100 upfront and maybe I could've haggled that abit more but I didn't mind as I've just sold my S6 Edge for more than that.
It's a cracking phone though.
Good luck!

7y 34d#42
It was the same deal 5gb/UNL/UNL. Sorry yes I did pay £100 upfront so really over the two years there's only a few quid in it between my deal and yours. My main priority was line rental, with the joys of retail price index bumping line rental up I wanted to keep it as low as possible that's all.

7y 34d#43
Fair dos. With the RPI increases you have a great deal but it looks like £750 is the target for everyone now, however they want to do it Luckily for me, my call took 5mins with the PAC team. I didn't have to play hardball.
Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry about the randomness and stupidity of this question but up until now I've always been on payg/Giffgaff and was eyeing up this deal recently and had never come across or experienced 'upgrading' my phone so was wondering what exactly is it? Say if i get this tariff, does it mean in 24 months time EE will give me a free latest handset (say the galaxy s10) and sign me up for another 24 months while I carry on paying £27.99pm, or will I have to pay for the handset and an increased monthly fee instead? Sorry again for the random question but figured this would be a suitable place to ask confused
badasscas
7y 34d#45
Every 23 months when you near the end of your current contract you have to either negotiate a new contract for your new handset and tariff or you can go SIM only. You will rarely be able to keep the same terms if you want the latest phone.
