What hearsay? What guarantees can you give of warranty? What consumer rights does anyone have considering it is not a UK trading company or regulated by a reputable foreign country?
I had a problem with this very company a while ago buying off eBay where a mobile phone became faulty within a week. Instead of replacing quickly I spent days emailing and arguing as they said the phone was tested and working when it left them. It was my eBay and PayPal protection that helped me... But that is also time limited.
By all means this product will probably have no problems for buyers but consumer protection also gives huge peace of mind when spending hundreds

Spend a little extra and buy it from Amazon Italy if only and to avoid dealing with these idiot and having precisely zero warranty.

Nothing so far on the ticket, nothing on a new ticket, nothing on facebook. Clearly they have many happy customers so not sure how they can fail so miserable on a few to destroy their own reputation.

Not saying it's bad yet, but I ordered on the 17th and I am still awaiting the order to go from "Processing" to shipped or whatever status is next. I emailed them late last Friday, not yet heard back, so not impressed with support as two work days should really be maximum (and with this being a big online business I almost expect them to work beyond Mon to Fri as well). I'm hoping for an update soon, technically I should have had the phone delivered today or tomorrow (rather disappointing experience so far).

I ordered this on 17th july, they said delivery will be around 1 week. They said id get updates about tracking delivery 3 days later, so far i have nothing, i contacted them and after 4 more days i still havn't got a reply. Quite worried about this now. They were quick to reply to my question when i was thinking of buying it, now they have my money? They dont seek to care!

If look at the model #, it's the one from South East Asia/Pakistan. So it will 100 work in the U.K on all networks. My only trepidation is registering the standard 2 year warranty with Samsung in the U.K. Despite it being in general, £200 cheaper, it ain't worth it without the warranty.
I may just pay the £578.00 from the U.K Amazon seller, as it has model: SM-G950FZKABTU, which I believe to be Global. It gives better piece of mind, and still is in general, £100 cheaper.

After some research I would be very wary of ordering an S8 from China - there are fakes and you can not be sure the phone is genuine u til you receive it. There is some info on the fakes here: Samsung Galaxy S8 Chinese clone is worth only $100
Although this particular phone being sold and the website may be completely genuine (but to me it sounds too good to be true), I am not going to take the risk - think I am going to go with the Oneplus 5.
Added to this risk is also even if the phone is real, what about warranty etc and how safe is the economy delivery?
Hopefully people who have already ordered can all confirm that the phone is genuine when they receive it.

I was going to order the Oneplus 5 this week, but after seeing this deal I am VERY tempted to go for the S8 as it is only £6 more. Can anyone else confirm that this is indeed legit and I would receive a fully working phone with no problems if I order?

Ordered a Galaxy S8+ on Wednesday for £530, delivered this morning with no problems.
Vietnamese package including all instructions but if you need them in English it's all available online. Original Samsung seal was still intact.
I would happily order from them again.

it's selection bias - the people with the worst experiences are most likely to leave reviews. and some people just like to have a good moan lol.

Anybody who feels that this might be risky just use a credit card when ordering and section 75 will protect you. Or use Paypal for buyer protection. This is what i did first time i shopped at TechInTheBasket. I was very skeptical but i literally ordered the Mavic pro on Wednesday Evening then Friday morning it turns up at 10.15am.
I am very impressed. £300 cheaper than RRP :P

The S75 protection isn't likely to be an easy route, I'd be curious if anyone has been successful with this approach as a friend who had a faulty grey import phone didn't get anywhere with his credit card provider. With any grey import I'd assume no warranty and if it can be sorted then that's a bonus.

Just adding my experience ordering from them. First week they left me anxious with the status stuck at processing. Once the process started my phone was with me in 3 days.
To my surprise I received an Italian TIM branded mobile!! No problems with the phone. I suspect that if you are lucky then things will go very smoothly but as someone has already mentioned experience will vary from person to person.

No idea, you'll have to look at the previous posts about eglobalcentral. It really is heresay! I know that hotdeals doesn't allow companies that are Chinese or HonKonese. Or try looking at them on Ebay, maybe. Your reaction is typical of the cold voters

By "importing" do you actually mean smuggling?
Samsung UK won't touch these with a barge pole, you may as well throw it in the bin if it goes faulty (or go through all the hassle of getting the phone back to China/HK and hope for warranty service).

Mixed site reviews on trustpilot

I wonder how much trustpilot can actually be trusted. I did use it previously to check if unknown sites are reputable, but after trying a bunch of well known sites, like amazon, sainsburys, tesco, john lewis, debenhams, toys r us, currys/pcworld, paypal, banking websites. They all seem to have pretty bad reviews/ratings to the point they look super dodgy rather than maybe having the odd issue. Even trustpilot seems to have 24% 1 star reviews. Also interestingly Game seems to have good reviews even though people take issue with the company. It also some seems to have odd trustscores that don't correlate with the user reviews, like google is 5.8/10 but only 8% 3 star and lower reviews.

I was not charged customs or VAT (twice!) on two phones costing each about £280. I think it says on the site you won't be charged. People do like to muddy the water a bit with this. I don't think anyone has _ever_ been charged. Someone said they actually 'avoided' customs and vat by importing them to somewhere in Manchester and then sent them to customers from there (now that _is_ hearsay) lol

If customs stops it, they can come after you for import charges etc - I have been shopping around for a s8, went for one from amazon for £600 as didn't want to take the risk re servicing and overseas buying [had many, many problems with another HK based company with my last phone]

I had a right game getting a refund off them when they failed to even dispatch my order... And I personally know people that have had difficulties getting faulty items replaced with them. They may well be the cheapest, but there is a definite risk involved in using them. Your mileage may vary!!!

Never used the company so won't comment on how good they are, I have done some searching on them when looking for a mate 9 and they were cheapest. It appears as if they get none UK versions, which is why you may have problems if you need a repair on warranty. Also need to check if this will have Band 20, as I'm not sure if all versions worldwide would.

I'm voting this hot because eglobalcentral are usually the cheapest and I've had precisely NO TROUBLE ordering from them (twice).
So it should be hot
However if the doubters appear (who probably haven't ever ordered anything) then it will probably go freezing cold whatever the price!
