It's my first post here, so I'm really sorry if this isn't up to the standard.
Mobile phones direct "prime day" promotion gives Free 64GB Galaxy S8 with EE 10GB data for 34.49 per month and includes £84 cashback. £827.76 after cashback term. Apologies if it's a duplicate post but couldn't find using search. Sounds like a good deal with the best network?

Just got this deal.
Did a few searches for galaxy deals which saves tracking data into phone browser.
Go onto news websites (sun/star/local rag) and advert pops up with offer.
Searching for deal on website does not work, only available via advert pop up.

Anyone that got this deal know if the phones come locked or unlocked. I'm just curious if they come locked and if so do they lock to the first inserted sim card.

Deal seems to still be active through the link. I ordered the S8+ with 8gb and it turned out to be unlocked. I'm glad I took the deal. Thanks OP

£900 for a handset with 3000mAh battery Vs Lenovo P2 £200 phone with 5100 mAh battery!

I don't think that's how you compare phones...

EE retentions matched the 37.99/month for 10gb for me recently. Didn't do it on "prime day" so didn't have the cashback to negotiate with though. Still very pleased with the deal; EE prices for the S8 are insane.
S8 a replacement for the S5 for me. I've always been very cynical of "flagship" phones and whether or not they offer worthwhile upgrades or are just a numbers pi55ing contest. Hence I've kept the S5 for 3 years.
Turns out it's the former. This thing is ridiculous. It's the perfect size. Its the most lustworthy gadget in looks I've ever had. I'm getting 6-6.5 hours of screen on time as well. I'd get 3.5 on the S5 with the same use. It dropped 3% battery in the last 8 hours. If you need to charge partway through the day you're either using it for 7 hours straight or you've got rubbish reception; in which case there is no phone that's going to last long enough.
I don't really understand why these deals on the S8 keep being marked cold. The S7 is a year old and pretty much the same price.

You're pretty much spot on there. I use my Samsung quite a bit, it's an awesome phone, but two full charges a day, and no replaceable battery? That's not good enough for a £1000 telephone in my opinion, but that's how much it cost me

I got your point but I've used apple, Samsung and other brands like everyone else and they hit your pocket big time and claims "faster" and "lighter" "thinner" in their over hyped announcements! And their all latest devices makes your video and browsing time a second faster than other phones! I think battery life is the crucial factor, imagine world's most powerful phone with half day's battery!!
This is good. I managed to get one for £35.99 a month with 15gb data on EE as a retention for my son. That includes a £7 loyalty discount though.

I managed to get Three down to £39 pm with ayce everything and free phone through retentions, for anyone on three but this is a good deal for new contracts.

Does it have full speed internet download speed or upto 60mps ? Be careful with speed as I found out that 60mps is very slow and lte cat 16 features on S8 like carrier aggregation will not work with speed upto 60 mps. EE had much faster speed before BT bought it and reduced speed for majority of their customers by putting this upto 60mps speed clause in most of their contacts

S8 plus is also available for £2 more a month but with 8gb, I'm tempted but can't decide if I want s8+ or 1+5
It's £34.49/month AFTER the cashback (£827.76). If you don't claim it's £37.99/month = £911.76 before cashback.
It was never £911.76 - £84 - another £84! It would be one of the deals of the year if so but it is not so. Still it is not bad but it's not as hot as it's made out to be

S8 contacts are getting cheaper faster than S7's did. Wondering if it's worth waiting until note 8 gets announced for a price drop or get his one as the price is really good with 10GB EE 4g...I think that plan alone is worth around £15 per month.

Great deal for a new phone even without the cash back.
Will use that as a bargaining deal with retentions next week.
