This is my first time posting a deal so here we go...
I used to have this for the Xbox 360 but have since lost the cable and have switched over to a PS4. Been waiting for a while for this to drop in price, lowest price ever on Amazon according to camelcamelcamel!
Great game for aspiring guitarists, the mini games are especially helpful if you find finger exercises boring
Great price. Didn't realise that the cable had went down in price too. Tempted to get it for a second cable to have some multiplayer games

Would this help a complete starter?

Excellent price. As most of my guitars and gear is in storage while selling house, this is going to be a good practice tool. Thanks!

can i use an acoustic guitar if it has a plug?

You don't even need the wire for using an acoustic, although it makes it more accurate that way! Any electric guitar or bass will work

Buyer beware - make sure your audio setup uses digital out rather than HDMI, otherwise the lag makes this borderline unplayable. This is a particular issue for PS4 Slim which doesn't have digital out
I'm currently playing on a Xbox 360 with analog audio out to headphones, and it's an excellent tool for learning new songs

I have clocked 270 hours on this and I would say im actually pretty decent at guitar now  Not amazing, but you would probably assume I have played for years!

For anyone with a PC, you can usually pickup Rocksmith 2014 cheap. It was on the steam sales last for £6, and you don't need the real tone cable on the pc. A cheap 1/4" to 3.5mm plug adapter in the mic/line in port of the pc and you're ready to rock.

This is the problem I have and now dont play it. Had it on 360 and was fantastic, was really getting into it. Then bought the xbone and got rid of everything, bought this for the xbone and just cannot get along with the lag

Have you tried putting your TV into game mode? That should reduce the lag considerably on most modern TVs.

Video lag maybe, but it does nothing for audio lag which is the key issue here

I play it on Xbox One as well as 360. You have to turn it to stereo out for it to be playable. There is still a small amount of lag but no where near as bad as when set to DD/DTS.

It appears the deal lasted less than 24 hours unfortunately. Feel free to mark as expired.

This game/tool is fantastic and I recommend to anyone wanting to learn and pickup guitar!
You can play electric/acoustic and bass versions of the tracks, but highly reccomended is the PC version(if you have a capable PC) This version will enable you to download pretty much custom tracks which when playing this game, the ability to play some of your favourite songs which probably won't ever be included in the title as it's like 3 years old now and I doubt they'll release any future DLC!

DLC is still being released weekly. Marilyn Manson last week, The Monkees this. Eclectic is an understatement
