I think it's a good brand and a lovely automatic watch for those who do not like the designs of the pricier rolexes and omegas. I'd rather have something discrete and classy like this. Don't have the money to buy now, but it's a really good discount and thought someone might want to take advantage of it.
Movement Type - Automatic Strap Material - Leather Case Material - Stainless Steel Case Diameter - 39.5mm Watch Thickness - 6.0mm

Closest I would find was £775 good value if you are in the market for one of these

Are there really enough idiot's out there paying silly money for watches,?
I am thinking of starting a company buying the movement from Switzerland , get it made in China and brand it over here Then advertise a ridiculous mrp and sale price £537

You mean you thought about it while writing your comment, decided against it because it is too much effort and would encroach upon your moaning about something you don't want time, then forgot all about it. Probably of interest to some people although I doubt "idiots", they probably don't have a job so can't afford one. Can you afford one? I'm guessing not. ☺

If you were making them in China, no point buying a Swiss movement because you couldn't put "Swiss Made" on the front. You'd be better off doing the Daniel Wellington route instead..

£500 for a watch is really really good ;-) I bought this for £2, delivered and you know what? It works and shows time!

Rolex and Omega purchases are an investment. You only get what you pay for. This watch is discounted almost a third already. Open the box remove the price tag and it will be only worth the accuracy it gives you to allow you to get to the bus on time...

It is silly, seeing as he could have bought a Rolex which would go up in value.

I once read this somewhere, thought it's appropriate to share it here. A man with a £10 watch on his wrist asks a man with a £10,000 watch, "How is your watch better than mine, they both show time", to which the other man replied, "Your watch shows your time, my watch shows mine!"

these expensive watch threads never fail to entertain as they tend to really polarize people on one side or the other
personally Im not raising my head above the parapet as I'd rather just sit on the sidelines as an entertained bystander

Having said the above, personally I think this one isn't great looking.
This one however, I absolutely love, and has a saving of £840!

Mmm decorative sub-dials/foil stickers. If you're going to buy a cheap-ass watch (and I have many) then keep it simple and tasteful.
Hot, BTW since massive saving, even though Raymond Weil isn't my bag.

I've seen something similar for £22 in Argos! At a glance which lets face it is all most people do you wouldn't tell the difference. I will go to Italy with the savings

It's nice that it is using a 'bespoke' RW movement, although perhaps a little disingenuous that it is apparently a modified and ubiquitous ETA-2824. This is a quality movement and should be accurate to within a few seconds per day.
A Hamilton or even Tissot watch can be had for around £300 which has a 2824-2 movement if you're just after a quality entry-level Swiss.

4 Jul 17#33
That one is a bit out of my price range (although I wouldn't call anyone an 'idiot' for buying it :p). Nice watch.
Obviously, someone that can barely scrape together enough money for a trip to Italy would not buy this watch.
As for not being able to tell the difference, I'm pretty sure the person wearing it would...

Erm...nice discount but you have to have more money than sense really to buy this. I mean, saying to someone you spent £700 on a watch to tell you the time just highlights you're not financially sane or selfless. I spent £34 on a watch, has lasted me 20 years and looks amazing but its just a watch.
Of course, who am I to judge if you want this watch...I mean, if you earn a million a year, sure , you treat yourself. If you dont earn a million a year, think you could have a nice watch and a hooker for the much cheaper.

This is just a really weird thing to say, why would someone need to earn £1m p/a to be able to afford one of these watches? What if they just saved their money and bought a luxury item?
I see you invested in HD-DVDs? Did you have more money than sense then? How is that investment working out for you? I know my RW Watch is still relevant and hasn't been superceeded by a newer technology

Great! Happy that at least one person bought it. I felt bad for essentially starting a flame war between people that see the value in a good watch, and those who don't.

It could've been worse; it could've been an Apple deal, or an AMD -vs- NVidia deal or that you found something cheap in Tesco that might or might not be nationwide.
At least one person jukkie benefited from this deal, so you helped out a person which is what the site is all about.

Re replies to my earlier post, I could afford one if I wanted, but I don't. In fact watches were dead when mobile phones came out, bit like wearing a tie is now.
This is my idea of a watch and it gets noticed more and people comment on, than wearing a Rolex.. Quote:

LMAO are you joking? Are you trying to imply that wearing a tie is now obsolete? How do you think people wear suits? How do you think businessmen go to work? I really do think this sums up why this deal isn't for you mate.
