Yes it can be had for £31 physically from 365Games but know a lot of people like to buy digital now. First time it's been on sale on eShop.
There is a demo on the eShop for anyone who hasn't seen it.
Blurb from Nintendo site: Two puzzle game juggernauts collide as Tetris®, one of the largest-selling and recognised brands in gaming history, and Puyo Puyo™ from SEGA have combined to create a fun-to-play, fast-paced, competitive party game like no other! The game has tons of different styles of gameplay – from the single-player Adventure and Challenge modes to the ferocious competition of the up-to-four-player Arcade modes. There’s plenty of Tetris/Puyo variety, and an in-game Shop where players can unlock new characters, new skins for Puyos and Tetriminos, new backgrounds and more. You can even try your puzzle skills on a global scale by playing any of the multiplayer modes with up to four players online, in Puzzle League or Free Play modes.
I want the game but anything above £15 is mad. It's tetris for crying out loud. Regardless if you can play puyo puyo.

Been wanting this for ages but the demo is more than enough for me and my wife to play a head to head (only head I get) and, like somebody else said, it's not worth more than £20

It is a great game with lots of modes and a lengthy single player story mode as well as plenty of online modes. I think it is well worth the money, it's a lot more than just a tetris game.

It's not on sale in the US I believe, so don't know if there would be any saving.

I'm sure it is good, but how can Tetris be bad? Charge £25+ for it.

This game is really good, has a decent campaign and could get you hooked for hours. I'd recommend at this price: yes it seems steep for Tetris but it's a world of fun, trust!

I love my Switch but jesus, that's expensive for a pretty "gameboy game".

You need to get out more. I bet you payed full price amd obv feel the need to justify your purchase.
There are no legitimate reasons to buy at this price let alone anymore. If there was a sale sticker on a frozen dog turd would you still buy it?.

It's so easy to either switch region or create a US account and get it from their eShop for a lot less
There is a demo for this on the store, you can play it an unlimited amount of times, and gives you access to a pretty decent game mode - I can happily play the demo whilst the game is as expensive as it is.
