It did indeed! Can't quite believe it but had an email from Amazon to confirm cancellation of games and a refund of £84.21 (not even sure how they came to that figure?) to be expected in the next couple of days. Meaning I've paid just under £230 for my Pro. Very happy with it and the bargain

Yeah I just wasn't getting anywhere. Told me nobody had got the 2nd controller and that he was not senior to do anything and that his supervisor would tell me the same. I tweeted Amazon the bit from my conversation that I quoted above and they have asked to contact me, so that's my last attempt before I return it.

Sorry to hear that fella, I thought amazon are pretty good for honouring mistakes tho. I bought 12 month ps plus and didn't put student10 code. Contacted them next day and got £10 refunded. Worth trying as these things are often depends on luck.

No what's needed is proof that people who ordered after the mistake are still receiving the controller or credit. They asked me basically for proof of this in an email, they sed only them who ordered when it was advertised got it.

You'd think, but 45 minutes and I have had no luck.

It wasn't misleading when I posted, and many of us who ordered managed to get either credit or controller. I think if anyone can provide screenshot of original description they should honour it.

Me neither...Just spent 20 minutes on chat to an agent, only to be told that Amazon will not issue refunds, have not issued any refunds, and will not send a controller, to any customer as part of this deal...I took a screen shot of this page, but he wouldn't accept it...guess it depends on the operator you get...I may try again tomorrow, just to try my luck...

Also got a £37.50 gift voucher added to my account and an email apologising explaining it was a misprinted deal. Happy with that as I didn't even know an extra controller was advertised when I ordered so its a bonus for me. That will buy me a game :smile:

Hi Guys, Ordered mine a few hours a go. Didn't know about the extra controller. Spoke to an amazon live agent, and showed a screenshot of the page with the second controller being offered. Managed to get a free controller, as the agent removed the cost (GOLD and SIlver are the only controllers sold by amazon). Just asked whether he could honor the first deal with the free contoller, and i guess they could. I would've preferred the voucher, but he didn't over it and i didn't want to push my luck any further. Read a few posts where even a free controller wasnt offered. Thanks OP.

My Pro was dispatched earlier today and £265.78 was taken from my account. The 3 games were still being processed. After speaking to Amazon chat I've attempted to 'Request Cancellation' on the games and take my £265.78 Pro and £37.50 giftcard and run. Not sure if its going to work but I hope so!

My husband bought it and just had an email from Amazon confirming it's 1 controller - but as an apology, they gave him £37.50 amazon credit.

I am apparently receiving my second controller with my pro tomorrow according to the adviser on my last chat!

I've just got off a live chat (again) and this time was told that if the console arrives tomorrow with no second controller I need to contact Amazon again and they will issue a refund when I buy one!! Obviously seeing is believing...though the rep did say they were aware of the issue 'for some customers'! Keep pushing I would say!

The title and description of this Deal is now misleading - would the OP ( @nihir ) mind changing it? We wouldn't want folk ordering based on this, then discovering they'd made a mistake.

Update for people who ordered this item. I received my bundle just now. I ordered well before the item description was changed. No extra controller. Contacting amazon now to see what is happening.

So, chat adviser flat denied anybody got a free controller. I spoke to a supervisor who said they are aware of the issue and working on it. He's promised to email me once he gets an internal update.

Ordered mine at about 6:45pm last night. Wasn't aware of the second controller until I read it here, mine is arriving tomorrow. If it doesn't contain a second controller I will try and speak to chat and see what they can do.

Think I'll give them the option of supplying the controller or taking a return.

I've usually had more good outcomes than not, and tend to be better about returning electronics than some other retailers *cough*scan*cough*. I've had a video card and flight stick fail on me over a year into having them and got full refunds for both.Which is why I prefer buying from Amazon. Just be careful of marketplace sellers. Some are downright criminal.

I think it depends on how often you intend on using it. If it's going to be your main gaming platform and you have a 4k TV then the Pro could be a sound investment. Otherwise probably not.

Atm the Pro looks like a failed experiment to me and the Xbox One X will be even worse. Nearly a year on, the Pro still isn't getting great support most of the time and that doesn't show any sign of changing soon.

Yeah that shouldn't happen but with Amazon chat it's a crap shoot regarding who you get. They have contact centres in India and a few other places and then people who work independently from home. As with a lot of zero hours, self-employed contracts, I wouldn't be surprised if the ones who work independently are financially penalised every time they receive poor feedback.

I mentioned to two different CS employees that people from this forum were able to order £0 controllers.. I was told by both that thats a mistake and shouldnt have happened confused whyy must they be hard workk

I'm hoping that if enough people (with enough evidence) keep pushing for it to be honoured then it will be. Amazons slogan is all about customer service and Ive not been impressed so far.

As I said above, int he end I was allowed to order any controller I wanted as long as it was sold and shipped by amazon and he zero-priced the order so it was free.

I often find if I'm nice I tend to get better CS from Amazon. Just be clear about what you're unhappy about and be patient and sometimes I get good results.

That's called bait-and-switch and is illegal, they either have to give you the bundle you thought you were ordering or give you your money back. When I talked to the rep, while I was polite etc because it's not the rep's fault, I did make it clear I felt like they had done a bait and switch with me and I was very unhappy about that.

It is, although I think there are probably some people like me who don't have a PS4 at the moment and figure they may as well pay the extra for the pro even if they don't necessarily need the pro, but with the other offer it's more than a bit extra and makes the standard a lot more appealing.

I added mine to the basket while the description showed 2nd controller, but didn't check out until after they had changed it, so not sure where that leaves me but I don't expect to get it.

Annoyingly I was unable to cancel this morning as it's already being prepared apparently...

It's the consistency I don't like though, they did this for a few people but not others.

Just finished speaking to a rep, they claim there were two different bundles one with a controller and one without. The one with has expired and you can only purchase the one without. If you had the one with in your basket, they've swapped it for the one without and not notified you in any way and refuse to change back. So if you're ordering from 10pm yesterday onwards, you won't get a second controller and they wouldn't have notified you in any way!

Bloody amazon customer support is a joke. The person on the end was totally lost and didnt understand my issue. When i order something i expect to get what i ordered, not for it to be meddled with after a placed the order. Dint even care that i had my own screenshot with the controller listed. Will have to send it back when it comes wednesday now. What a complete hassle.

Just ordered this myself; cracking deal. Called to try to get them to honour the second controller as shown on screen shot (thanks Mark43), but he was having none of it, despite me having proof! I may try calling again later depending on how many here can get the extra controller.

Yeah, seems like if you placed an order they'll fix it for you, but if not, they'll just tell you otherwise.

I also talked to a rep, went over the problem, explained how I was confident it wouldn't be in the box when it arrives and asked for the solution you guys got above and was granted it. Made an order for a silver controller for no cost. Really happy!
