Should be available to all Prime members unlike the regular "top up" offer available to select customers. Unsure whether it will work in conjunction with that promo so some might be able to use both! You must have an Amazon.co.uk account with an active Prime membership (including Prime free trial memberships, excluding monthly Prime Video memberships), Click the button 'Click to register for the promotion' below, Purchase £50 or more of Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards in E-mail or Print format in a single order on Amazon.co.uk. We'll automatically apply the £5 promotional code to your account and confirm by e-mail within 48 hours after your gift card order has been processed. The £5 promotional code can be spent on eligible products sold by Amazon on Amazon.co.uk until 28 August 2017.
This offer is limited to the first 9,000 customers who register for the promotion and make a qualifying purchase. See Terms and Conditions of the Promotion below for more details.

I'm definitely going to spend £50 on Amazon in the next ten years (the life of the GC) and also extremely likely to spend £5 on there before August. Why on earth would I turn down free money? Better interest than the bank will give me.
If you don't use Amazon then it's not free money obviously, but a heck of a lot of people do and it's really weird that you're quite so bothered by anyone effectively taking money off Amazon.

I spent £100 the past 2 days on Amazon, and didn't take up this deal, what a fool I am!
Possibly more a fool, the storage shed, Dentistix and Flymo and strimmer to start off the Prmie offer!

If this worked plus 3's offer I'm pleased, the gift card came through promptly and with 20% off warehouse deals our printer ink worked out not too bad.

not sure they should be allowed to do these 'first 9000 entries' type
whilst stocks last is ok as when stock of the fiver is gone they could alert potential customers
hopefully i'll still get it

Just received confirmation from Amazon that the £5 promo code has automatically been applied to my account.
The time of the email is exactly 24 hours from when I received the gift card (probably coincidental).

Just got an email:
Thank you for purchasing an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card. You have qualified for a £5 promotional code, which has been automatically applied to your account and can be used on eligible products sold by Amazon on Amazon.co.uk.
The promotional reward must be used by 28 August 2017. This offer is subject to Terms and Conditions.
Ordered the gift card around lunchtime yesterday, so to all impatient I suggest hanging on for the email to come through. Thanks again OP

Yep, been a great prime day for me too, probably about the same, maybe a little more if I count the two free Call of Duty IW games too.
Really impressed with Amazon, seems they pulled out all the stops this year....

If you buy something from Amazon e.g. Echo Dot, you should find £5 discount applied in checkout

My £5.00 off next purchase e-mail has arrived.
Bit of an odd promotion this, but not complaining.
The £79.99 Prime membership is due soon, will it be £74.99 if I haven't bought anything.?

I don't think so, Prime membership isn't even payable by normal giftcards.

If you make a purchase through a certain affiliate link, that organisation will get 5% worth of your purchase as donation from Amazon. I normally use McMillan's link from here: http://shop.macmillan.org.uk/amazon.html
More to charity please people!
If you don't use Amazon then it's not free money obviously, but a heck of a lot of people do and it's really weird that you're quite so bothered by anyone effectively taking money off Amazon.

EDIT: I assume you can add the gift balance to your own account?
And yes you just send it to yourself
Wondering if I can just top up £70 and get 2x£5 free. I seem to be eligible for both.
Been caught out with that before and ended up wasting the bonus credit.
Promotional codes and promotional rewards cannot be used to purchase Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards, items sold by third party Sellers (including Warehouse Deals), products sold and distributed by Audible, against delivery costs, or against gift wrapping costs. (Promotions & Deals Terms & Conditions)

Well, can't complain! Thanks OP
Live chat representatives are as unhelpful as ever telling me to wait 48 hours...
Called Amazon and was told I wasn't eligible.
I argued that I was. After 10 mins and being on hold twice while she spoke to a supervisor £5 has now been added to my account.
Hope you get the same outcome, Good Luck
Technically it says they will confirm in 48 hours, not apply it in 48 hours.
It is frustrating that some people get it right away, and some don't!
There's my proof
EDIT: Make that 13:35, outlook is showing everything an hour earlier?
The way it is worded isn't quite clear on whether the 48 hours is just for the email confirmation rather than the credit being applied as well.
codes stacked ok on one amazon account
Also, I went with no-rush delivery (instead of same day etc) with almost all of my orders to get fivers per order for no rush :smile: ....

Also does anyone know if the £5 you get from this will work against digital purchases as I'd like to get the 12 month EA access, 3 months live and £10 credit while it's still available but if I can get an extra £5 off I'll try and hold on till last minute see if it comes through....
one order for ps4 has been dispatched too but no £5 voucher.
Also done this £50 top up and no £5, do. I get an email to say when the £5 is available to use?
Your loss mate - the rest of us got £5 per account for no effort at all and effectively no outlay. :sunglasses:
Do we know if this limit has been reached yet?
Fixed! Amazon CS comes to the rescue

Why is it such a good deal?
I'v e made a Prime day purchase but it was 12 hours ago.
Also this 9,000 thing shouldn't amazon close the deal when it reaches 9K? I think you get my drift the 9K hasn't been reached - I bought a £50 15 mins ago,
I guess I am queuing......
Sheep.
... I'd just actually like the gift voucher that was purchased...
