Can somebody elaborate on fake 4K? Tempted by this...better to come on Prime Day? This is within budget...

8 bits + frc emulates 10bit by flicking 1pixel two different colours to create a new colour - true 10bit has enough layers/bit/pixels to not need do that - fake 4k is unfair - this is still 4k plus you will not get a true 10bit close to this price often if at all

Yeah. I have the 50" M3300 and they're cracking TVs for the money.

what you think though when considering upgrade for a pro and one s from a 1080p? i hoped prime day would produce something cheap - this is cheap - is it worth getting?

This RGBW panel - not 4K really

Just an unusual pixel structure that people are being paranoid about, you won't notice any difference at this size if you're using it at normal TV distances instead of on a desk top.

If it's anything like the M3300 (I'm no TV expert) then I would say so. The image is fantastic, GoW4 and Forza look amazing in HDR (fake or not, I dunno). The Xbox One S reads my TV as a 10 bit panel, but from what I've read that's just poor upscaling. Do I care? Not really, it looks mint

specs are looking the same as the 3300 - oh it is so tempting ...

Go for Full HD then at this size...

Is this TV not worth the money then?
Could someone elaborate on the cheats and tricks which make this a fake 4K TV?
I would appreciate any feedback, as ordered it but will cancel if someone can give more info on why this isn't a good TV.

I ordered this. Mainly because it has a built in Freesat turner, regular freeview is rubbish in my area so it was a good deal for me for that reason. Couldn't tell you about pixels, reckon the difference in quality between one HD and another is now beyond the
quality of my eyesight.

Just ordered, it looks great for the price and sells for much more elsewhere!

Don't bother, if you're spending this much just wait a bit longer.

Hmm it's still Prime Day and it's still in stock, did they cancel because of it's popularity?

Looks to me like the Amazon stock ran out and they are now selling the Hughes Direct stock, which wouldn't be eligible for the offer. The 49" TV is still the same price.
It's 8 bit + FRC, but it only TRULY matters of you're doing professional video and photo editing due to slightly better colour gradients and transitions. If it's just to watch TV/play games, it'll be fine
