well they won the mirror's nicest kit in the premier league last year, that's technically winning something.

My cousin bought the psvr and I went round to have a go, some of the games are a little blurry but most are fine, perhaps it needed to be calibrated to my eyes to sharpen it up. I felt a little bit of motion sickness on farpoint and rigs but the rest was fine.
Thinking of buying this bundle myself as I was quite impressed and fancy playing star trek bridge commander

The simple answer would be not to slate something without backing it up with some actual info.
Whether or not you like vr is irrelevant in this discussion, you can't say it's a flop.(I know you haven't).
I'm calling out his opinion with some actual numbers.

Works on any PS4. The pro will get you slightly sharper visuals or a boost in draw distance, lighting effects etc. Not tried it on a pro myself, but apparently there's no one thing that's hugely better but it gives an over all difference that is noticeable. Plays fine on the original PS4 and slim though.

I'm not saying you're snobby/elitist for being able to afford one, I'm saying it's snobby and elitist to dismiss someone else simply because they cannot.

VR is amazing for cockpit racing/simulation if you have the right kit. Expensive to buy all the best kit though.

Dont forget Dirt (with a wheel and pedals) is awesome, Battle Front X-Wing demo is fantastic. VR Invaders and Lethal are decent fun for a tenner. IMHO you need the move controllers to get the best out of it. Farpoint with aim is awesome. Just hoping Elite Dangerous gets VR support soon...great price.
As others have said, if you are thinking about it and you can afford it, do it. All this squit about graphic quality and screen dooring is meaningless when you are immersed in what is most likely going to be the best gaming experience you've ever had!!

It's undeniable that psvr is selling well, hit the million milestone a while ago so hardly a flop. His comment was exactly what you would expect from someone who hasn't used one or can't afford.
I won't apologise for having a job and being able to afford one, it doesn't make me snobby or elitist. I'm blessed to be in the position I am, if he was to feel inferior then so be it.
He might make some life choices to improve his situation.

For the record I disagree with that user about VR being a flop, it's still in its infancy and still very expensive but it's undeniably been received very positively, garnered a lot of interest and is only going to get better as time goes on.
But for the love of God, the "you just can't afford it" school of argument is stupid and helps nobody. It's not remotely convincing for them or any onlookers, makes you seem equally dismissive as they are, and also sounds snobby and elitist.

Be sure to pick up Arizona Sunshine once you have those! Easily my favourite VR game so far.

You need to budget for a camera (£23 preowned) to get them working together though.

Great price, but looks like the original PS4 model which uses much more power and is louder than the PS4 Slim.
Still, if that doesn't bother you (The noise wont when you're immersed in VR), it's a great entry price for VR gaming.
