Stunning Gold medal award-winning Welsh whisky at a great price.
This single malt Welsh whisky is aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira wine casks to bring out its full gold character. It is bottled at 46% abv.
Nose: A classic freshness with aromas of cream toffee, rich fruit and raisins. Palate: Crisp and finely rounded, with the sweetness to balance an appetising dryness. Finish: Notes of tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla persist.

I like the peated variety, but the standard isn't my cup of tea.

Lovely, I bought a bottle for £28 in April, but at £22 I am gonna have another! Thank you
It's OK but is not as good a Scotch single malt, and it's overpriced normally.

Agreed. Penderyn's whiskies aren't their string point. Their gin is exceptional. I stick to Scotch single malts.

On first taste I wasn't convinced by this stuff, being a different taste to my usual Speysides. But you quickly get used to that and start to appreciate this on its own merits. Since Glenlivet 12 stopped being sold (a crime in my book) this has become one of my firm favourites. At this price it's a no-brainer. Heated and ordered! Thanks OP.

I live about 10 mins from the Distillery. Cheaper on Amazon by far than in the shop there

Is not a scotch, so taking about it like it is, it's frankly stupid. Comments from people that know anything about whisky don't count for toffee.
Gin is their strong product? Jog on. Useless viewpoint from a buffoon.
It's a good product which has stood up well in blind tastings. Real whisky drinkers, buy one, open it, try it and then leave it air for a couple of months and come back... Delicious.
