You're very welcome.
Useful on a long flight.
It will be interesting to compare their noise cancelling with my QC25s that cost 10X.

so just received and I have to say for 30 quid is great value
noice cancelling seem works well but need to go to more noisy environment. the quality of sound when on the VTX is better than my old beaten up monster inspiration. the conford is better on the inspiration due to bigger cup. but more testing needed. thx again

I'd be interested in that, please post again when they arrive
Decent Amazon reviews from 6 users - possible fragile headband issue from the only 1 star review with comments .
They appear excellent for the money, surely for £30 this is the best current option, for half-decent budget noise cancelling? (serious question)

Can these be used for calls? Doesn't say anywhere in prod info.

Yes - See UG below.
They weigh 75g more than my QC25s.
But have 2 X AAA batteries on board v 1 X AAA on the Bose QC25s.
They only just fit my head on max extension, so I guess that's why that Amazon reviewer broke his.
I have not yet had the opportunity to test the ANC. Obviously they are designed for on-board aircraft use and I suspect suppress those frequencies best. (Dangerous suppression of engine noise for pedestrians I'd say.)
Here are the important pages of the UG. Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page 5
Might test the ANC on the tube tomorrow.
I will use them only for ANC, as I use the QC25s.
I use them OVER my favourite in ear phones.
I'm old, so don't care about looking a penny short ...

Thanks for that! Have you used them for phone calls, could you tell about your experience?

I love the fact they use AAA batteries. It means you can easily bring spares and recharge them rather than a proprietary battery which when it dies kills your device - a lesson I learnt the hard way with my Philips Sonicare toothbrush. The weakest link is the battery.

Absolutely agree!
My phone battery is replaceable.
My Fuji Camera takes 4 X AA ( Try finding anything else in the Kalahari Desert corner shop)
My Bose QC25s take 1 X AA.
The risk of a fixed battery always seemed high to me;
Oem , proprietary brand only parts tedious.

Just received mine. Sound and build quality are pretty decent. Too much bass for my taste so have to use eq to bring it down. Not sure how good the ANC on these without testing properly on a flight. Under home conditions it's not overly impressive atm. But for £30 I think it's a good value.

Just tested these in a crowded Wetherspoon, watching Buffalo NY CNN on my laptop, and the "babble" suppression is as good as my QC25s.
I am astonished and delighted.

I have tested qc25s in duty free shops and thought they bring down the background noise quite a bit. If these are even close then its a bargain, nevermind the bulky design.
The only public place i'm wearing these will probably be an aeroplane.

I went home from the Pub on the Tube & felt that these were 80% as effective at in-tunnel noise suppression compared to my QC25s; but it's rather subjective as I didn't have both. I too will have to wait for a flight to really assess these in regard to Active Noise Cancellation.
Nevertheless, based on my pub babble test, I think these were a great bargain at £30. delivered.
