Published on 4 Jul 2017 - This folding drone is a great flier at a very nice price. Find it here... m.tomtop.com/rc-…tml Originally released as a drone with a poor resolution camera, this version eliminates the camera to greatly reduce the price. But if you still want a camera, simply velcro on a cheap 1080p micro action cam... m.tomtop.com/spo…tml
Pros - Actually a nice sporty flier for an altitude hold quadcopter. - Headless mode and one key return. - Altitude hold. - Currently at a very nice price. Not sure how long that will last though.
Cons - No camera included, but again that greatly reduces the price. Use the savings to buy a better camera than the original 0.3MP one.
***** Flying time should be increased with no camera, and remove the landing gear, so you will probably then get close to 10 minutes. *****

Got my son the X4c for Christmas and it's a great piece of kit for the money. Add to that, spares are easily available, including the 5 extra batteries and 5 way charger. For such a small quad copter it's amazingly stable, even with a bit of wind, yet small enough to also fly indoors.
This has altitude hold, but its not as good as the one above amazon.co.uk/Hub…+x4
Just get the h107l, its a fantastic beginner quad.

Having spent and wasted a lot of money on toy type quads i would recommend a Syma x5c to start with. They are cheap and the parts are always available. When you have learned the basics and feel comfortable flying i would move up to the syma x8. These are also cheap and are bullet proof. There's a good chance you will lose your quad so costs do come in to it.

I had an x8c, friend had an X5, it's much better than the x5c which imo is too big to fly inside and too weedy to fly outside. The x8c motors can be changed just by unplugging, it'll take a syma X5 fpv kit (which is far too heavy for the X5) more robust, can fly in a light wind, 500m range, easier to spot and will even take a walkera gimbal and action cam.
Quads with GPS can be had for £100 now, if you get in trouble just flick a switch. Love it on my blade chroma

Gps can also be troublesome. If you just want to fly and have a bit of fun without spending a fortune then i would go with the x8.
