I had a gimbal/stabiliser from them which worked fine and turned up fairly quickly considering where it was coming from, and cost a lot less than in the uk. I'd always buy via a credit card from a company like this though in case of issues, including lack of response after receiving a faulty item - my experience is the cc company will just refund you

I'll be tagging every Tomtop post on HUKD with a warning from now on when I get the chance.
Received a faulty drone, so sent them a message to which I got a very short, abrupt and unhelpful reply. So I wrote a 3 star review about my experience on their site - surprise, surprise it didn't get published (ever noticed the lack of lower rated reviews on there?).
Finally, I requested a refund - a request which has been completely ignored. Avoid :disappointed:

**** me off how a company can charge £50 for a small battery and it can be called a deal

It's not guaranteed you'll get the 9% cashback from Quidco (it says all sales, but then in the small print lower down it says excludes other offers), and you've assumed a decent exhange rate which you don't get with Paypal - only certain credit cards, who are unlikely to be as pro-active in dealing in with any issue that may arise as Paypal are. Then you've got the VAT/Import duty to deal with. Also DJI have said they will only honour warranty from approved DJI resellers - so it's probably best to check that out too. You might get lucky and avoid all of these pitfalls - but then again maybe not. If you can accept this & think it's worth the risk then by all means go for it.

There are risks admittedly. TomTop state on the product page that import taxes for EU deliveries are pre-paid and the reviews agree with this. Never had a problem with Quidco not paying out personally but I know some have.

Do a Paypal dispute. Failing that, do a chargeback though your debit/credit card.

If you used a credit card contact the card company and explain. They should do a chargeback.

That's probably true for some. But at least it gets them out.

Ironic that the only people I ever see using drones outside look like they have never been outside in their life!!

I've used them previously for quad stuff and action cam. Have found them good. Comparable to Banggood and Gearbest.

Anyone used this site before? Reviews seem mixed. How does it compare to banggood or gearbest?
