Is this a relatively easy phone to use? I currently have a Galaxy J5 which I have just about familiarised myself with.

I'm sure I would find an IPhone easy as I am used to Apple stuff but cannot afford the extortionate expense of buying one!

Have you given amazon your card details? The alibaba group who own aliexpress are the biggest retailer/marketplace in the world and have a higher turnover than Amazon. They're safe.

You won't regret it - it's a great piece of kit. If nd when the 64Gb version drops in price a little, I'm getting that one too.

Mine came in a week standard shipping so u should be fine. I think u wud be very unlucky for it not to arrive before 27 August

I ordered mine from the OP's original supplier with Free Standard Shipping - ordered on July 15th, received July 25th. It left China on July 21st, entered the UK on July 23rd, and delivered to me on July 25th. No Import Duty to pay. You should be ok ordering via the OP's original Supplier. Let us know what you decide!

Interestingly, AlliExpress came up as being based in London on my Credit Card Statement!

Mine departed China on July 21st, arrived in the UK on July 23rd, received it on July 25th.

Ordered it 15th July, received it 25th July. Used Standard Shipping. No problems whatsoever with Import/Tax.

I bought the 4x prime .... I as surprised to find it was delivered in 3 days ?!
I must have been lucky because I have never had something delivered so quickly.
Also the phone after one days usage is stunning... Cannot fault it so far.

Received my order today and I can verify this (no screws at the bottom etc)

I would like to purchase the phone but don't want to purchase the "One-year replacement warranty". Is this warranty compulsory on aliexpress? If not, how do I remove it so I can get the phone for the same/similar price as the OP. (With warranty the price is around £120).

Edit: I think this compulsory UK warranty can be avoided by changing to United States shipping in the top-right section of the aliexpress webpage. Then, once the phone has been added to the basket, shipping can be changed back to UK without the additional warranty being added to the price.

It also says band 4 in red but title implies it has band 4 so I am assuming it has band 20 too as I ordered 2 of these.

Well it says Global version, implying covers Band 20, one needed for UK, which what mine ordered in may stated and works fine .. let's hope that bit saying B Band 4 is a typo

I sold my s7 edge to get this. Good enough to deal with day to day tasks. I had 3-day battery 6.44" xiaomi before s7, s7 has just disappointing one day battery life. Camera is weak and noisy in low light conditions on this, otherwise if you do not plan gaming, you'll be happiest owner of £110 phone ever!

S7 edge was £300 on refresh, we have different ideas on 'not much more'. I came from a Galaxy Note 3 and don't miss it (RN3SE and Mi Max).
I find the camera is fine in good light, mediocre in poor light though I don't expect DSLR quality from a phone.
I'd say the biggest 'let down' for many is bragging rights though as I'm more interested in saving money than impressing people that's not an issue for me. :smile:

Has anyone moved to this from a high end phone? Lots of people saying it's the best phone they've ever had, but that's a bit meaningless without knowing what they've had before.
I know it's got no NFC and the camera is terrible but is there anywhere else it's let down when compared to something like a galaxy S7 or iPhone SE? With the O2 refresh deals you can get those phones for not much more than this which seems like a better deal to me.

We've still got 2 of RN3 at home as the RN4 wasn't a convincing upgrade, nor is the RN5. I use a mi max 1 as the 2 isn't worthy of an upgrade either. I can't guess whether the RN5 is worth you waiting though I wouldn't bother.

Mate would you wait to get this over a 4? Just ordered a Redmi Note 4 and looking at the specs you posted seems the 5 has a slightly better CPU and fast charging, lighter. Cons are smaller battery.
Looks another £40/50 on top of what i paid for the Redmi Note 4.
I usually charge my phone at work so not sure if the fast charging would bother me.

My only concern, it says non detachable battery, I've had a few batteries swell up and die on me - if the battery dies, I assume this means the phone is written off, if I can't replace the battery?
