**JULY 16th, STILL OOS.PLEASE STOP EXPIRING THIS, IF OUT OF STOCK CHECK LATER, IT WILL BE REPLENISHED**

Register for email alerts on the Touch Controllers, when you receive your email the bundle will be back live.

GLITCH - Currys are sending 2X boxes of Touch Controllers (worth £99), a quick check on eBay shows these will net you £70-90, making your outlay for this more like £320~

Checked Quidco following the Rift sale, this seems to be the cheapest base price @ £398.99 anyway, but with 1% Quidco/TCB you'll save £3.19 making the total price £395.80 (£320~ with glitch).

Might cancel my Amazon order now and save £4.

This (as with all Rift purchases) includes an Xbox One Wireless Controller and 7 free games:

Medium, Quill, Robo Recall, Dead and Buried, Luckys Tale, Rip Coil, Toy box, Rec Room, Mountain Goat Mountain. Add to that Google Blocks, Google Earth, Mission ISS, Dragon Front.

Free software for VR, see Hitman's thread:

I did the same and the 14 day deadline is tomorrow. Still nothing.

Tried tweeting to them and Team KnowHow seemingly showed how much they know. Nothing: twitter.com/Tea…097 (appears full conversation with them goes in the wrong order, basically they didn't know what was going on and so I gave up)

Thank you for taking time out from your holiday to join HUKD and to post your Twitter exchange and letter received from Currys.

Please forgive those who are demanding you post your email reply from Currys. If they wish to benefit from the efforts of others (who have contacted Currys whilst they haven't), so that they may get to keep their controllers then they should learn to be more polite to others.

The penny finally dropped then...

The damage and expense of going after these completely erodes the reason for doing so in the first instance. If they'd sent 2x Headsets I could understand their desire to chase, but they just need to accept they dropped the ball and recognised the issue extremely slowly.

Glad you all got a good deal!

Yeah, it always makes me wonder about companies that do this - it just shows a total lack of thought. They lose so much goodwill from customers who would have been singing their praises otherwise for such a great deal and spend a lot of money to get back items that I can't imagine are selling that well at the current price.

Imagine the difference if they'd sent an e-mail to customers telling them they'd made a mistake but not to worry as they would let everyone keep the extra set of controllers or alternatively could return them for a £50 voucher in store. I imagine lots of people would have actually returned them and everyone would have gone away happy. They might have even managed to get some free press out of it if they were lucky.

I've kicked up a bit of a stink with them because I went for their deal and they took my money I was unable to get the bundle deal with John Lewis, now I've missed out on getting the Xbox controller and remote as the new bundles are stripped down. Not a fan of this "we hold our hands up we made a mistake" attitude that doesn't resolve any complaints. At this point I'm happy to get the original rift and touch bundle.

I sent my email to currys on wednesday morning. In the end I didn't offer to return my controllers for the £70 voucher, as I decided the original email was rude enough to not make this offer. I just laid out everything said in this thread (including the terms and conditions I found on their own website) and will wait for an apology or the 2 week deadline to pass. It will however be interesting to see if people who do not reply get a follow up after their 2 week deadline.

So I was one of those people who ordered without hearing about it or seeing it here, and you know what, I didn't even realise what the "two of" actually meant at the time and was just looking forward to a Rift for 400.

I'd checked every other retailer before I selected Currys and I chose them because they were quite simply the only ones with stock by the time I'd convinced the wife it would be awesome (and it is, right?!).

Lo and behold another box turns up completely to my surprise. After a bit more confusion I realised what "two of" meant

I'm ignoring them, can't even be arsed with the bullsh!t.

Whether I was expecting it or not, the truth remains that it was advertised, bought, paid for and delivered, all with an extra set being part of the deal. They didn't send it by mistake. They listed it by mistake. And then they sent the goods sealing the deal. Too late sunshine thanks very much! Advertise goods > take my money > I get goods. Awesome. It's true I personally didn't even see the deal for what it was but that's because I was just frantically looking for stock and was happy to find some

You'd think they have a sophisticated ecommerce solution which makes setting up bundles and offers very easily (I happen to be building such a thing right now), and they will also have a workflow with checks and balances built in. This wasn't a shipping error.

Their offer was clearly live for ages for those paying attention (not me), and yet apparently everyone avoided them until everyone else had sold out, at which point they realised their **** up - and now they need to hope they can fool some people into making it a little less costly for them.

I can also tell you they won't take you to small claims over £99.99, far too much paperwork, organisation and time. Can you imagine? They can't even run a website. It's also a way to immediately kill any future business from those few who are prepared to buy from them when pushed.

Chancers indeed.

As with probably all online retailers Currys' t&c effectively says there is a contract once they have dispatched the order (rather than just the initial acceptance of payment). Once there is a contract they could not back out of it unless for example the listing differs greatly from what was discussed, but since we never "discussed" anything (everything is based on their listing) and the offer is not beyond the realm of possibility then they don't have a leg to stand on. The law offers no protection to a buyer/seller for negotiating a bad deal.
Thowky
25 Jul 17 #299
I believe for listing errors it protects them in that they don't have to honour the order. From my understanding that is before they send it out.

Not had any reply yet from them after replying to their message saying I didn't consider it was a mistake but would send it back if they price match the lower pack price. Not exactly rushing to challenge this.

25 Jul 17 #297
I'm holding off on replying to their request until I see how others are getting on by responding to them with the screenshots - I have no intention of returning or paying anything extra as I got what I ordered as far as I'm concerned - although I did read somewhere that the law may protect sellers from both shipping AND listing errors - which seems ridiculous frankly but it might be something Currys try and use if it's applicable....!
Wezhayw
24 Jul 17 #296
True for a few, but I could have easily used my Amazon prime account for next day delivery but instead paid £6 extra for this bundle for next day after seeing it did add 3 items to my basket.
A few of us even took screenshots - for when we'd have to issue Currys their "you are in possession of something that belongs to us..." email when they only send one :P
Thowky
24 Jul 17 #295
There is some truth in that but some people did notice ahead of time and many of those who didn't initially notice were able to check the site and confirm that Curry's really were advertising sending multiple packs out.

Doesn't really make any difference from my understanding. It was still listed incorrectly whether people noticed it or not. Currys are probably hoping most people didn't notice and will send it back as asked.

It's fair to say from reading this thread that it was only noticed after people first got their deliveries, so those first ordering didn't have any expectation of getting another set.
Wezhayw
24 Jul 17 #291
I'd like to point out that the topic title was edited after people were receiving their orders. I think the actual "glitch" we're highlighting here is by them removing one set of controllers, which brought the total down to £320.
If they're honoring a mis-price then fair enough. If they're cancelling and refunding them before being sent out, because its a mis-price, also fair enough.

The argument here is: original purchasers, ordered a "triple" bundle, as it were, which went through processing, confirmation, and passed down to packaging, who looked at their files so see three items to pack and ship, as it was advertised on site.
To us now receiving an email basically saying "we haven't paid for an item, give it us or give it back, you have 10 days"

Could you imagine buying a PS4 bundle with three games, getting it home, playing it, then FIVE days later getting a call "yeah we want a game back, or you pay us £45"

I had terrible service with Curry's in the past and the only reason I dealt with them again was because I saw this good deal n wanted to see if it was true. Which it was, then wasnt?
I'd like to point out I replied to their email almost instantly and they haven't got back to me yet.

luvclub,

Since they cheekily tampered with evidence by "correcting" the number of items in our order histories, it seems that they are betting on the fact that only a few of us took screen shots. Unfortunately for them, I took screen shots of the entire process and I posted them earlier in the thread. The resolution of those shots seems to have been downgraded when I uploaded them though, if you need the full res versions just let me know.

I'll knock up a basic email tomorrow night stating:

The website showed 2 sets of controllers (screenshot)
The checkout showed 2 sets of controllers (screenshot)
The discount showed that 2 sets of controllers were being included (someone earlier did the maths)
When one of the sets of controllers was removed, the price was (correctly/incorrectly) reduced further to £330 ish

Which leads me to believe I own the 2nd set of controllers and give them 2 options:

Apologise for the rude email with, no name, having to state customer number in my reply which I won't be (sod it, let them do the work) and inform me they will not be pursuing the matter further as there was no mistake made (just a very good deal)
OR
I will happily let them arrange for the 2nd set of controllers to be sent back once I have received a voucher for the value of £70.02 (whatever the further mistake difference in price was, but I paid via voucher so would ask for a voucher back, because I'm "nice" like that) and will even take said controllers to my nearest currys to do the exchange there and then. I WON'T be sending back controllers without the voucher first, as I don't trust them to make another mistake on that front.
Thowky
24 Jul 17 #281
Obviously they aren't listening to any of the points people are raising here and just pointing to an article which I feel is clearly on our side. A company can't turn around and say an item was sent in mistake when that was exactly what they were advertising and selling.

Whether people ordered from on here or elsewhere doesn't matter. Anyone who read the title on here mentioning a glitch had even more reason to expect to receive the extra pack as it was clearly mislabelled on the website throughout the entire order. Anyone ordering by themselves might have missed that if they weren't paying attention while buying.

Currys had plenty of time to catch the mistake before items were sent out. Instead they corrected the mistake which let to another pricing error and more orders sent out at a lower price. Currys clearly don't test what they release properly or have very good controls to deal with issues like this when they occur and it's up to them to fix these problems rather than take it out on their customers.
Midnight.Tboy
24 Jul 17 #280
another thing to this too. They're sending emails, giving people 2 weeks to response (whilst also being un courteous t**ts). This is the start of summer holidays for a lot of people, some people may get back from a nice 2-3 weeks away, to then get some additional really ****** letter in their post or inbox. Sooner Curry's follow Comet etc and go bust the better, they're a shambles.

There is also the fact that a lot of people would choose NOT to shop at Currys because of their terrible reputation, but decided that due to the offer that was on the table of a set plus additional controller set, has now tied them into a product (which has likely been opened and used now) and have now been baited and switched. And we all know what Currys are like should you ever try and want to return something
ukez
23 Jul 17 #279
In all fairness not everyone would have seen the deal on here, keep in mind that the rift was on offer as a nationwide promo and the cheapest its ever been so some people would have stumbled on the site regardless.

Also note, and this is the truth..

There website actually showed x2 controllers during the checkout process, just because they've decided to send out a receipt that says something else that's down to them. i.e something different to what their checkout suggested that's there fault. We agreed to buy what was in the checkout and that's what we did.

If it didn't say two controllers during the check out when we added the bundle to our carts i would totally understand their argument, but the fact of the matter is there cart clearly said x2 controllers prior to us paying.

We agreed to the items in the kart, nothing more and just because they moved the goalpost after the fact why should anyone budge on the matter?

They advertised the product wrongly at some point along the line which is totally there own fault, all we did was buy what they advertised in the checkout. X)

Please don't be rude. What I said did not contradict what what was stated in the article that you had quoted. THe article was just not applicable.

The article under "What if it the delivery was sent by mistake?", states there are 3 scenarios:

1) if the order wasn't meant for you (this is not applicable since we definitely made a purchase)
2) if it was sent to you twice (Currys' own website stated multiple times during the listing and checkout process that there were 2 sets of controller packs. Other users have posted plenty of screen captures to support this)
3) or if there's extra stuff on top of what you ordered (same explanation as in scenario 2)

luvclub to SixtyFive
22 Jul 17 #262
If there is any ambiguity then the law favours the consumer since Currys was the one inviting us to purchase it, they are bound by everything they have stated during the purchase process.

They definitely stated there would be 3 product items and specifically "2 of" the controller packs (which includes both a left and right controller).

They had the choice to accept or to cancel the order, but once they took payment and dispatched the item the contract is sealed.

23 Jul 17 #269
The very first sentence says "If you have received good you didn't order." - people did order them and received what they ordered. There is lots of evidence of this from before and after Curry's stopped sending two packs out.

If you are arguing that the 2x controller packs actually meant 2 controllers then why did this change when they stopped sending 2 packs? Surely it would have still shown the same thing if the only mistake was with what they sent and not what they listed?

Distance selling regulations allow me to return something within a certain period of time. It doesn't mean someone can make me return something because they made a mistake in what they sold. They can cancel it before sending or ask for it back if they send something different. They can't ask for something I ordered back.

Again - if Curry's price match the lower price they sold the pack for (as they claim they do on their website) I'll be happy to send the extra pack back if they make the return no inconvenience to me (as they are legally required to).
SixtyFive to Thowky
23 Jul 17 #271
And if you read on it says. "What if it the delivery was sent by mistake?" & then goes on to explain to tell you that kind of error allows them to have them back under the Law.
it's not open for debate.
luvclub
23 Jul 17 #270
The picture doesn't show the sensors, remote and xbox controller either but since the description states it comes with it then it is assumed it does.

The same goes with when the listing and checkout process states there are "2 of" the controller packs and when they accept the order by taking payment and dispatching it also, I cannot see how they could back out of the deal at this point.
The_Hoff
23 Jul 17 #267
Nope.
Thowky
22 Jul 17 #263
Agreed. The controller pack is a single item - I don't know why anyone would think it was meaning a left and right controller as they aren't sold separately and the pack includes other items such as the sensor.

I'm happy to return it if they honour the lower price other people have paid recently and collect it at a time convenient for me. It would be quite unfair to honour one deal and not the other when both were mistakes on their part with quite a bit of evidence to support it.

I'm really not happy about this generic email. The least they could have done is send out a more personalised mailer. Why should we have to chase them up for their mistake.

I have looked on their order system on my account and the cheeky gits have manually changed my order records to state that only 2 items were on my order but you can still see 3 links for tracking, showing the 3 items.

http://i.imgur.com/nHX2Dvd.png

Even though this has seemingly been doctored by them, you can clearly see that there is record there that 3 items were purposefully dispatched and sent separately. I really don't know what to make of all this.

That is what exactly what I did. I had sent them an email offering to return the "extra" controllers on the condition that they would Price Match the £398.99 price to the newer £328.92 price and process a partial refund of £70.07

It should be slightly easier for me as I already had proof of the £328.92 order in my order history, except it was cancelled due to lack of stock.

21 Jul 17 #248
Could someone post a screen grab of the £328.92 offer. That would be useful to argue the case for keeping the extra controllers... if the price of standard kit is £328.92 then £399 is reasonable price for the kit plus extra controllers. I thought this was a genuine offer and Currys were just getting rid of old stock of controllers. I think they are chancing their arm on this and I will not be returning, anyway I'm off on hols for 2 weeks  . A final point is if we really do have to return then we should insist on a £70 odd refund. I don't think we have much to worry about.

It does seem a bit cheeky of them to ask for the full £99.99 when they were selling the bundle with one set of controllers for £328.92 (ie only £70.07 less).

Someone has even reported their cheaper bundle has been dispatched today!

If they still insist that i should return the "extra" controllers, I might actually contemplate doing it. Since they're honouring the smaller bundle when it is in stock then I should be able to then ask them to Price Match using their Price Promise the newer £328.92 price which was listed within 7 days of my original £389.99 purchase!

21 Jul 17 #236
Yeah legally speaking if sent by mistake you have to give it back - but I recieved exactly what was in my basket when I checked out, for £400, and I have a packing slip for each set of touch controllers, so I'm not seeing a mistake, simply a very good deal at a time when a lot of Oculus stuff was heavily reduced - "I ordered from you because I thought a third sensor plus a spare set of Touch controllers was a great deal, got what I ordered, not seeing a mistake, sorry bye."

It's not quite the same as say, ordering just a rift headset and getting touch controllers delivered that you completely weren't expecting and were given no indication that you'd receive.
carrot1401
21 Jul 17 #235
Surely with that image people have a leg to stand on then? They ordered what's on that screenshot for that price, they got it, end of?
Jaylincs55

The_Hoff
21 Jul 17 #233
Tell them they have 3 days to arrange a collection, that you work unsociable hours and you're only able to answer the door between 2am and 3am after your shift.

There won't be many collection companies that will want to do that and if so the costs to Curry's would be high.

Otherwise state it's of no convenience to you.

IMO they're chancing it to reclaim as many as they can with expectations of only getting a % back, if you make life difficult for them I'd imagine you'll do ok out of it.

That said, this isn't legal advice so I take no responsibility for you losing your job, house and car.

The invoice would be the final say as that is your reciept for the items proving you have purchased them. However, you have very strong evidence that the items have been mis-sold and I doubt small claims would side in Currys favour, nor would I doubt Currys going that full route. The only issue I see with this route is that you would be entitled to a full-refund for items mis-sold, I don't necessarily know if legally speaking they belong to you. Unless of course they are invoiced.
drasim
21 Jul 17 #229
Yep, it definitely said that there were 3 items in the bundle. This has since changed
Currys made the mistake by advertising it
Enixis
21 Jul 17 #222
Just to add, the £349.99 savings advertised for the £398.99 set is for the headset + 2 sets of touch controllers.

Rift headset = £549 (rrp)
Touch controllers = £99.99 (rrp)
Total cost rrp = £549 + (2 x £99.99) = £748.98

Savings = £748.98 - £398.99 = £349.99 which is exactly as advertised!
Wezhayw to Enixis
21 Jul 17 #228
This is precisely what I mentioned in my reply to their email.

Thowky
21 Jul 17 #227
Don't blame them for asking for them back but what a bad way of doing it.

Not addressing customers by name, asking them to reply including their order number when you don't include it yourself and writing in a semo-threatening way with a deadline.

Do we know why the bundle had to sets of touch controllers with it?
luvclub to UberPark
20 Jul 17 #196
It must have been an admin error. I assume they received notice of a summer sale, from Oculus, of the headset and a pair of touch controllers. Someone then must have thought it would be necessary to include 2 touch controller packs in that bundle, not knowing there were already a pair of controllers in each pack.

When they finally got wind of the mistake, the same guy probably decided to fix it by removing the extra set of controllers from the bundle. This reduced the price and created the £328.92 bundle because they forgot to fix the price at £398.99.

I would be very surprised if the issues aren't fixed by the time the touch controllers come back in to stock and most likely they'll only sell the £398.99 bundle with the correct number of controllers.
lrbaumard to luvclub
20 Jul 17 #200
I suspect it might have been more a getting rid of excess stock thing?
The new bundle is the new bundle with oculus which comes with rift and controllers in same box so very unlikely they'll be giving a 2nd touch this time.
UberPark to lrbaumard
20 Jul 17 #202

Can't you use a DVI/DP to your monitor and the HDMI for your Oculus? It only needs 1x HDMI and 2x USB (3x if using WIFI Xbox adapter).
UberPark to The_Hoff
18 Jul 17 #178
unfortunately my monitor only has vga / hdmi inputs and I don't have any DP or DVI cables lying around either. I don't understand why graphics cards don't have more than one HDMI these days. HDMI is the most common Display medium nowadays it's ridiculous to see gpus like the gtx 1070/1080 have 1 HDMI and 3DP even though HDMI 2.0 has full support for 4k 60fps (no one can possibly run 3 x 4k monitors at 144Hz). so why not 2 HDMI and 2 DP? my point is every gpu should have at least 2 HDMI outputs for things like dual monitor and vr support.
spammy to UberPark
18 Jul 17 #180
The Mini Gigbyte is a bit worse - 1x HDMI, 1x DP... and for some perverse reason 2x DVI. For now I'm working around it by using VNC (my gaming PC is headless - don't ask), but I'm not sure if that solution has legs.

OTOH, DP -> HDMI adaptors cost around a tenner for 4k, while DVI -> HDMI are around £3. Either are said to work with the Rift (by either plugging in the HMD via them or using them to free up the native HDMI port).
UberPark to spammy
18 Jul 17 #181
I used the steam link last night to control my PC while the Oculus was in the main HDMI but that didn't work for some reason the Oculus display just didn't turn on.

Did it worked for you using VNC? I might try that but idk if it will work as it seems second monitor needs to be plugged to your gpu for it to work. but if VNC worked for you I'll give it a try

If you go to the checkout at Amazon it goes through as 2 separate items (touch controllers + rift) AND you are given 2 separate delivery dates. AFAIK, the new Oculus + Touch controllers come in one box. This strongly suggests that the last of the old stock is still making its way to suppliers and Oculus themselves will be the first people selling the new stock.

As you say ....The new bundle IS happening its not a rumour right now my understanding is the old packs are being shipped out but no more are being made IF they run out then the new pack will be sent out. Sorry i missunderstood your post i thought you meant the new pack in general with the £100 cut in rrp was a pr disaster rather than this temp summer deal of £200 off and some getting the old pack and some the new

In which case yeah i can see why you would be mad if your orded and the add listed the contents of the old pack but you were delivered the new pack..... But surely the order page must at least be clear what you are getting?
Midnight.Tboy
15 Jul 17 #135
well decided to look anyway - yup its true, definately a new package out there, so one to be wary of before order, and take snapshots of order pages etc as evidence of what you're expecting to receive

So its missing

1. Xbox One Wireless Controller
2. Xbox One Wireless Receiver USB adapter
3. Oculus remote control
4. (Possibly - not confirmed) Rock Band attachment

Could turn into a PR backlash
bigmike20vt to Midnight.Tboy
16 Jul 17 #140
Why? Its £100 cheaper rrp so if you want the other stuff you can get it with the money saved. Many of us however akready have an xbox 360 pad which works just as well.

People have been saying since launch the xbox 1 pad was a waste of money putting the price up for little good reason.
Midnight.Tboy to bigmike20vt
16 Jul 17 #142
Because not all people have an xbox 360 pad. Regardless whether want that stuff or not, it's still 100+ of additional goods that would be missing that some would expect/may or may not want. If some people are getting the full package, and some people are getting a gimped package at random, then surely they have a right to be p****d. It seems this is not the case anyway yet and just speculation because of product detail changes on the main order page for existing stuff

Oculus have confirmed that after the 6 week deal the price will be $500 (so presumably £500) and that this 500 set will definitely be the single bundle set

Midnight.Tboy to steveie

weird. I'm too lazy/busy to look around on reddit but will take your word on it. Seems a bit deceptive to call it a discount however when they're physically removing items from the bundle too. They're not really needed I know, though that's not really the point. Although the wireless receiver for the xbone controller is pretty useful

Weird.

Currys stock of the HMD (where the controller is) will be old, they're obviously not selling through as quickly as their touch controllers.

I had delivery scheduled for this morning but never arrived. Called up Customer Service to see what happened - warehouse had run out but didn't bother to let me know. It's been in and out (for hours at a time, so you don't need to sit mashing F5) for last 3-4 days.

Set a stock notification email in the Touch controls, when they land back in stock the deal link will be back live.

FYI, you can still see the deal by clicking on the Rift headset link (£499) and scrolling down, you'll see the bundle from the OP.

Amazon et al will be live for 5 more weeks so no rush to order from there. May as well wait on this to come back unless you need it ASAP.

Setup 2 and see how you find your tracking accuracy. Based on my early experiences I see no need for 3X sensors assuming you have them setup right in the first place - ideally at or above head height in diagonal fashion.

I'd hang on to the controllers until there's a FVF eBay deal in any case, anybody ordering from Currys will be eBaying and the prices may drop whilst the supply dries up.

What did your confirmation email look like? Mine from a few minutes ago has 3 rows but one is the bundle. I.e. it looks like this:

- OCULUS - Rift
- OCULUS - Touch - Black

To me that doesn't suggest I'll get two Touch controllers - but what went into my basket and what I checked out clearly said (2 of) Oculus Touch - Black - and my order history page says 3 items (but doesn't say what the 3 items are)

Hi All,

i can confirm that i have just received two sets of controller boxes (4 controllers in total) + the head mount box. I looks like currys are misinterpreting two controllers with 2 boxes.

this was an online order i placed yesterday with delivery for today as a punt.

I had already bought a set from game which actually arrived at the same time.

Will be taking the game box back unopened to one of their stores.

i can't really see the point of having the extra set of controllers but i imagine they will sell ok on ebay

And that's the key thing really. It's going to take more than a few bolt-ons for Superhot and Elite Dangerous to really sell this thing to the masses. That's why if any VR kit is going to succeed atm it's likely going to be PSVR. It's easily the most affordable (yet least tech-advanced) and has a lot more to offer e.g. RE7, Skyrim and Moss.
HoboHouseParty

Have you tried it? Because while sure, there arent games on the level of Witcher 3, Battlefield 1 etc, there are plenty of good ones.

Robo Recall, Arizona Sunshine, Chronos, Edge of Nowhere, Onward, A Mages Tale, Eleven Table Tennis, Echo Arena, Elite Dangerous, to name some of the notable ones.

Hell, Elite Dangerous with a hotas is worth it on it's own for me, absolutely love that it VR!

Each to their own of course, but it's definitely been worth the money in my experience.

Thanks, I originally ordered from Amazon with delivery next Monday. For £4 I have now selected next day delivery through Currys, so thanks OP.

Please note I have been unable to cancel my Amazon order as my controller has already been processed (as that was arriving tomorrow). This means that I will have to pay for the Amazon item as well, before sending it back. Not a problem for me but worth baring in mind if you are thinking of doing the same.

I seem to remember seeing that if your return ratio gets too high, Amazon will cancel your account??

Nope making money is through - sorry is a couple of quid, whatever. the point being that its the normal price ( as per the amazon deal ).

This destroys PSVR if you have a beefy enough PC to run them. Amazing price

£1.50? Math not your strong suit?

10 Jul 17 #11
This is a fantastic price but a few things to consider:

You need a high end PC with a good graphics card
In a year or so the next gen will be released, potentially un-tethered, higher resolution etc.
Oculus uses a closed system and tracking is inferior to HTC (vive.) It's much less likely to be supported by devices in future

There are some great games and Fallout and Doom coming out soon. Also, if you're into racing sims (or xxx) then the experience is unbelievable. Beware, can become very expensive, very quickly once you start buying sim equipment.

might cancel your order and save £1.50 ROFL. not worth the labour.
Not a hot deal either as the other one is only £1.50 more so its the "normal" price, plus amazon refunds are so easy.

Eee Amazon all way. Currys will take a **** and keep your money for a bit and you will lose nerves sorting return

At OP, would much rather go with Amazon for the customer service instead of Currys!

Agreed. Return to Amazon for literally any reason and its instant refund as soon as they register the postal label has been scanned by RMG. At least that's my experience. Thumbs up for the cheaper price, but for my money the CS of Amazon is worth the extra couple quid.

Also don't forget cashback and gift card users.

I'd agree, but for those wanting to locally collect or have a physical shop to deal with (in addition to saving some £) I thought it was worth a post.

I want this just to play with tilt brush (a friend has one) - but still way too much.
