It's £399 inc. Delivery on Oculus.com, saves a penny :-P
Unfortunately brits get stung a bit but blimey, £399 is stunning... headset, 2 unreal controller (best of any imho), Xbox One controller, 2 sensors, unbelievable amount of free content.

Was just thinking this is mega cheap. This bundle is around £700+. Wonder why the huge discount.
I'd love to get one but VR makes me sick in the chest so I'd have to pass.

Accidently overwrit my original reply.
Pretty sure there doing this price for the next few weeks for the player base, that's the only thing that's really holding up VR and at this price that should drastically help with increasing the number of users.
NB, I suffer with VR sickness, but most new games I do not get it anymore. Good developers have learned over the last couple of years what the triggers are and develop around it. Echo Arena is the perfect example. Stunning games, flying all over the place and almost nobody suffers with it in that.

decide3d to get this bundle as it mentions more free stuff like an xbox controller 2 sensors and more games. Probably the same bundle everywhere but best not to risk it I think. Also nice to give them more money directly

I got my Rift and extra sensor from Oculus.com, good service using FedEX, so you can track the delivery truck and where it's going on the way (if I'm remembering correctly, possibly UPS)

Has this changed? I cannot see anywhere on their website that tells you you get an Xbox One controller.
From their website:
Oculus Rift + Touch
Includes: headset, 2x sensors, Touch controllers, necessary cables, and seven free titles available when you set up Rift+Touch, including Lucky's Tale, Medium, Toybox, Quill, Dead and Buried, Dragon Front, and Robo Recall.
Yeah I ordered directly from Oculus as the others don't mention some of the stuff like the Xbox controller... However scan mentions something about EVE

chances are you won't get the xbox controller
errors are made on sales like these all the time
but even if you don't you can probably complain and they'll send you one

The annoying thing is that it's being sold for $399 in the US!

It's cheap, and is a deal according to the previous price but yeah.. it's a sign of things to come. VR is going mainstream in the next few years. This will be the standard price soon, or cheaper, definately! If you wanna get in now go for it, but expect even 'better' deals soon :-)
VinegarJoe to Cbeeching
16 Jul 17#22
Not so sure about that. At least not 'soon', and certainly not for this particular Oculus bundle.
Oculus themselves have said this price is not sustainable and is only an attempt to get more people playing VR. After the six week promo it will go to 499.
As for the future? Of course it will get cheaper, most likely when they release the second generation of headsets. Those are more likely to be mid-range products though, so don't expect them to be a big leap up in tech for now.

its possible they ran out of the original bundle which was the rift bundle and the touch bundle shipped together. They were clearing stock of these for the new bundle with both in one box which doesnt come with the xbox one controller. In this case I'd try to get the older bundle from somewhere like currys
VinegarJoe
16 Jul 17#25
Yeah, I couldn't find any mention of that or the remote either.
That's why I went for the Amazon deal instead - they still says it includes the Xbox controller and remote. I'd imagine Amazon's new stock won't come with the extras either, but since it was advertised when bought it will hopefully give me some leeway. Or an extra controller and remote, whichever!
Most likely a cost saving exercise - they're kind of redundant with the touch controllers, and most people have a spare pad anyway. Still strips roughly £70 of value from the package though!

Has anyone seen any stock any where ??? I feel this is a big con to offload old stock. I want the old stock for the extra bits but it appears no where Ive checked has stock or knows when any is coming available. Currys appear to have cancelled orders due to no stock, and without the controller its just not as good offer. Amazon now says unavailable rather than pre order. And most the others scan / overclockers show no stock either. Checked my local game they haven't had any stock for a while they said.
I don't really wanna order direct from oculus as it will almost certainly be the new bundle version.

Oculus store is still a reasonable option but you will have to live without the non-essential extra bits.
Of course it's clear they were offloading stock before the new combined package. It seems like demand exceeded expectations, I don't think they are trying to con anyone. If you are really interested in VR you should go for the deal without the extras - of course it sucks for those who needed a payday but you aren't losing anything core to the VR experience. It's still £100 off than it will be later on.

ive come to that conclusion but even now I cant preorder one with a date, I believe people who order last week direct from oculus still don't know when to expect there device.
