Not sure if national might be worth trying your local

How is anyone supposed to know that it is a local deal? The chances are if this is reduced in one store, it will also be reduced in some others if they have stock. I for one am grateful that anyone bothers to post deals found as they invariably get abuse from people who cannot find it in their store.or make comments about wild goose chases. I have managed to get lots of deals posted on here that others have said were local (and no, I didn't go to the same store as the OP in any of them!).

Firstly, the post says in store and didn't mention the store location (this has been added since). Secondly, no picture of a receipt or even a picture of the item on display or the label quoting the price.
Tesco often have store specific deals, or managers specials. If this had some proof of the cost such as receipt or picture of the sales label, I might have voted hot, but with nothing, it gets a cold vote.

Agreed, had loads of passes and hardly watched anything, they add one film a day, generally a cr4p one.

In what way is it rubbish? Still has the vast majority of new films well before all other services and a good back catalogue.

How do these work?
Do you enter a code, get your 4 months or whatever and then either cancel or pay to continue?
Can you go out and buy say 5 boxes for £7 each and then enter a new code every 2-4 months to extend?

Basically, yes and yes! At least that is what I have been doing for last 2 years, you can enter a new pass code in last 30 days of current pass. I just keep a log of current pass expiry date in google diary, so I never forget to renew before I get charged full amount.

Local deals shouldn't be allowed. If it's not national, then it's not beneficial to everyone on the site

If you had given proof, such as receipt or picture of the item in store and label. You would of had a lot more heat than you have now. I don't need proof now, its not available in Widnes anymore as someone has mentioned, and no body has found it at this price, at any other store.

Whoever is whining about this...
Tescos' have been having the NowTV box with various versions of "passes" for £7-£15 since last christmas. What you get, or not, really depends on which store. I've seen different ones in at all three of the nearest stores to me (York and surrounding).

Is this pass tied to the box in any way or is it just a code?

The code can be used with any account.

And this constant demand for proof is also tiresome - it is unlikely anyone would make up a deal and you need only look on here to see there are lots of different NowTV offers coming up. It is also unlikely if it was that good a deal it would still be available in that store. I am not sure why anyone worries about whether someone gives a deal heat or not either to be honest - happy to see what others find and if I am near so will check, if not I won't.
Won't be too long before they target end users IMO. Wherever they can get the money.
Flicks these days are a p-take though. Life and the latest Ridley Scott Alien film were just too disrespectful of their audiences. Hard to find a good, recent movie among the trash.
