Heads up - From Friday 28th July (This Friday) Argos will be having 3 for 2 on selected toys - no idea how long it will last but this is usually really popular and stuff like Lego and Princess dolls etc will go fast so reserve what you want on Thursday to make sure you secure the stock and pay the 3 for 2 price instore on Friday. Great if you have any £5 or £10 vouchers from the promotions you want to use up too.
Included lines will be identified onsite from tomorrow with the purple 3 for 2 badge
5 months today is Christmas day so you might even want to get putting away for the big day?!
In previous years, you usually get another one in October but nothing comfirmed as yet.
Nerf, Lego, Shopkins, Paw patrol, Star Wars, Disney Princess, character toys etc all included

Argos always do this now, they also don't allow 342 on the clearance sets which will stay listed at a lower price

amazon will usually price match if you want the odd items

Didn't think amazon offered price match. Last time I requested one they told me they didnt do it anymore? Did they fib to me? lol or have they just started it up again?

They don't price match on request.
But they will still price match a lot of these offers.

You can always reserve now and then extend your reservation, I did this last year and managed to get some stuff before prices went up.

They don't usually honour the old lower price when a 3 for 2 is in place. Reserve now and pay now before the 3 for 2 kicks in or reserve now and pay later at the price the item is when you make payment and 3 for 2 offer is in place at the time of payment.

Last year I priced up all the toys I wanted to buy for Christmas. Next day the 3 for 2 went live and it actually worked out more expensive. So I waited until the "offer" had ended, a short while later the prices dropped again. What didn't drop I got from Amazon.
I am surprised that not more people have clocked onto this "special offer but it's not actually that special" deal to be honest....
Its kinda like all the shops hiking the prices of pringles back up to over £2 then doing "special offers" :/

When did the price promise end? That was the only reason to ever buy anything from Argos.

This explains why I noticed early a vast number of LEGO sets have gone up in price, some to the "new" RRP that LEGO instigated after the Brexit vote, e.g. £99.99 sets that have never been that much at Argos are suddenly up to £109.99.
Praying for another Tesco 3 for 2 in which lowest matched prices are also retained...

some lego sets have a clearance price and a higher price two different codes the clearance set will probably be a return.

The website says only selected lines and not all toys which is a shame.
