Yeah you can buy it from GAME now I think. Im not 100% sure on the price but it's not much more than the base model and it's a huge upgrade being exactly the same as the 3ds hardware wise minus the 3d element.

There's a 2ds XL out now. Its practically the new 3ds XL without the 3d button and for a lot cheaper.

As it's a UK forum I think most people would presume you were referring to events in the UK and not Japan.

Nintendo won't be selling the smaller size in Japan anymore while it still be available world wide in places where it's sold.

I never mentioned the uk. I said Nintendo which to me relates to whats being sold in japan.

My point is that the new 3DS XL is still being manufactured and will still be sold and promoted everywhere apart from Japan. Your post gave the impression it was being phased out in the UK and this is not the case. It was always meant to be a limited release in Japan hence the reason it is being ended there. It will of course eventually be phased out everywhere but that applies to every console/handheld. Personally I think the new 2DS XL is the best buy for those buying their first 3DS/2DS.

Yep, and Nintendo is based in Japan. Whats your point? If i'd said Nintendo UK or Nintendo US i'd have been wrong. (but i didnt :stuck_out_tongue:) and Nintendo aren't going to keep the regular size 'new' 3ds party going worldwide forever. Probably some good discounts at Christmas for uk gamers,
Its my preferred model and also fwiw plates will become collectable so stock up on import plates if your into it.

This is a good deal as I bought mine for that price but didn't come with Pokemon, even though it's not a special deal or anything as mentioned above, it's still good value for money, heat.

It's been with the extra game for ages....
Technically (if you've got a time machine) it's been as low as £35

I would say the new 2DS XL is better than the new 3DS XL. Technically they are identical apart from the fact the the new 2DS does not have 3D. However, the new 2DS has a better physical design and is much cheaper. It should be pointed out that neither of these handhelds are part of this hot deal.
